What is the purpose of God? I mean the purpose of an animal is to live and defend its self from harm. The purpose of some humans is to live a good christian life so that we get to heavan, some other peoples purpose is to make as much money as possible and indulge in everything sinful or not.
But my question is why is God here? He isn't here because of us, because we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. IDK if you understand what I'm asking please post an answer. I'll keep watching the question and posting more details if I have a response to one of your answers.

In your question concerning the "purpose of God" you have asked one that many people have brought forth. There are some questions that can be answered forthrightly and with natural logic, but this question can not be fathomed using the natural mind. GOD has always existed. HE is the first cause of all causes. HIS purpose in creating our universe and all living things (including humans) is for HIS glorification. Those having the Spirit of GOD in Christ Jesus superadded to them are able to worship HIM (Triune GOD) in Spirit and in truth.
IT IS NOT THE PURPOSE OF SOME HUMANS TO LIVE A GOOD CHRISTIAN LIFE SO THAT WE GET TO HEAVEN. To say that we must be good in order to get to heaven goes against what is written in the KJV. ALL humans are Spiritually depraved. GOD chooses to call some humans out of natures darkness (those Spiritually dead) (see Ephesians 2), and then they are able to seek/study the things of Christ Jesus. If a naturally dead person/body is unable to do anything naturally, so it is that a Spiritually dead person can not do anything Spiritual as it is in Christ Jesus: they must first have the Spirit of GOD implanted within without them thinking, saying, or doing anything to get it. By "nature" all humans have a free will, but after the Spirit of Christ Jesus is within them they see their own depraved/sinful condition and from that time strive to live and study upon Christly matters. Well that is the ultimate question, isn't it, afterall we've yet to work out why we're here, let alone a being that is so far beyond our comprehension it's not funny.
I have a theory, but it relies upon a few other theories to make sense, so I'll try to give the basics here:
All dimensional realities contribute to the divine plan, every event occurring at any time or place. Now if time doesn't exist beyond the physical plane (where we reside - btw this is one of the other theories) then information from any point in existence is available to a being on the highest planes of existence (i.e. God). So following this through to a rather simplistic summary, you get that we are God's 'classroom/Uni', so therefore God is here to learn from us. When tied into the theory above relating to time you see that ALL the lessons we have learnt, are learning, and will learn, are already at God's disposal, i.e. God has already learnt them.

Romans 1:19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

I'm sorry. But you can't know everything in this life. The Bible talks a bit about heaven and we know it's the place we want to go to when our bodies expire. But do you really know what heaven is like? Probably no one does.
Perhaps you'll find the answer to your question in heaven. One step at a time...

God states His purposes in the Bible. If He promises something, He will do it. So then His purpose is His will. That's really simply put, but that's what it is.

he's like our father, he guides us and protects us. But we have to listen and watch.....REALLY listen and watch, there are so many distractions around us, that's why you should just tune in...and it's okay not to tell anyone who isn't close to you. God works in mysterious ways, but don't temp him....!
allow him to show you what he wants you to know.
