in what they do would you be friends with them? I never thought it would be possible for me to do that, but I find some of them are very nice people. So yes I would become good friends with them. One world af advice christians if they are interseted in knowing more about Jesus they will ask, do not tell them they are going to Hell, that will drive them away not just from God but from you. I am talking from experience here. Some of them are very helpful people, and I love them but even though I do not approve of what they do, they have a choice chrisitans, and everybody should respect them, and learn to get on with other people. Now do not get me wrong, becasue I stuggle with an illness and sometimes find it hard to get along with other people, but in my heart I am coming to accept other people. Chrisitans I am learning not to Judge other peoples decision, because you never know if that person will come to Christ and will become a good friend. So Chrisitans before you judge someone who

srogtium_t, you sound very judgmental. Some wiccans may be weird, yes but not all of them, some of them are more freindly than some christians.

justafreak4jesus. Jesus took time to preach with sinners and loved them. Do not be so harsh. This loving lady I am talking too may just come to Christ and become a witness for Jesus. Do not judge. We still have to pray for people. This wiccan is very understanding and she knows that no one can take me away from Jesus. I love her as a sister, you should too.

I know some Wiccans. They can't help it that they weren't raised correctly, and that they're . . . weird.

Yes. I have friends of many different beliefs, including Wiccans and Witches. Some very old and stale stereotypes had to be examined and discarded and I maintain some very strong relationships with them. I am extremely secure and comfortable with what I believe and don't tiptoe around anything but anyone who truly comprehends and practices what Jesus actually taught should have no problem with this. Ok, some Wiccans are weird, nutty, fruity and all that ... but let's face it, some Christians are all that with a diet soda.
The only standard that Jesus taught that we should live by is the standard of Love.
If anyone who calls him or herself a Christian and can't love folks, Wiccan or otherwise, then that person is just a liar.

I have three Wiccan friends. One is full-on Wiccan, Goddess worshipping. I admire her greatly for her love of her children, and the role of motherhood.
Another friend is an agnostic Wiccan... she dabbles in white magic, but isn't really serious. She has been to church with me a few times. She's very open-minded about everything... ie can't make up her mind.
My other Wiccan friend IS a Christian. She still believes many of her Wiccan ways (loving the earth, hugging trees, etc). Wiccans learn to listen to their intuition. It's something that modern Christians could learn a lot from. I have.

I encourage you to seek experience and knowledge from all corners of religion, both conventional and occult without fear other than fear of being overly distracted from the mystical knowledge that resides in you. Remember Jesus went to the sinners. He ate and drank with what in our time might be street gangs or prostitutes and such causing disgust in the established faith congregation of his time. I’m associating with Pagans and Wiccans now. They can not effect my faith or understanding of Gnosis and they instinctively know the hypocrisy of the modern churches. I’d associate with other Gnostics but there are few that claim it and even fewer that Gnosis it. Perhaps I’ll find some or some will awaken close to me, until then let the light of God shine through your life like a beacon of hope for humanity.
Blessed Be

Thank you so much for all the respect you have shown. You are what I think of, when I think of a good Christian. You are non judgemental and accepting of all people just like Christ.
As a Wiccan it is wonderful to hear someone who gets it. We don't want to convert people, but we do hope that we will be afforded the same respect as we give. You and your friend sound like wonderful people and I am happy that you are so accepting of one another.
My mom is Catholic but she still accepts me for who I am and doesn't preach to me or try to change me. I am very lucky.

I've had some VERY dear & close X-ian friends over the years. We maintain & respect clear boundaries - & the main one is an unspoken agreement NOT to try & convert the other.
Otherwise it's just a shallow friendship. As the friendship is just a tool. Just waiting - like a predator - for the opportunity to manipulate the friendship - use it as an excuse to pressure them to convert. And that's Emotional Abuse.
Here's a hint, Respect works.

I am Wiccan, and would like to point some things out.
As a Wiccan, it is who we are to except other people for they are. It is just our nature. Not to metion, that if you read anything on the Wiccan religion, it will bring about Karma, what goes around comes around. We don't push our religion, or down on other ppls religion cuz for 1) it will come around and bite us in the *** 2) I actually find it fun to learn about other religions. I know my faith will never change, but I respect others and their beliefs enough to heat what they have to say. It just gets annoying when they continue to tell me I am going to hell, and such.
strontium_9t: So you know, I wasn't born Wiccan, I converted at the age of 13. And I am no weirder than you. You may think because your religion told you to, that you have to "save" ppl or whatever, but it is also in my beliefs to allow everyone to have their own opinion, and believe what they want. I am not going to come knocking on your door to push Wicca on you, unlike other religions. That is just who we are. Sometimes you have to deal with it!!!

If people of all religions and faiths took just a little of this and followed it, the world would be a much better and safer place.
We share this world, we might as well try to get along with each other.

Did Jesus not sit with the Tax Collectors and Sinners and also say "Do "unto others as you would have others do unto you, and likewise"Love your neighbors as yourselves", Im sure your heart will discearn the truth to the matter.

Leanne, I publicly commend you for your progress in trying to accept others this last year. I can see a very huge change in your attitudes.
Yes, telling people they are hell bound only results in conflict.
I believe the proper way for Christians to talk is, I am not your judge, only God is I have no opinion except what the Bible says and I will not tell you what it says unless you ask.
another thing not to do is pray for them and tell them you are praying for them. That tells people that you do not aprove of their life and are asking a god to change them. It will also open up a right for them to pray for you and in my experience Christians want to pray for me and tell me they are praying, but get all upset if i happen to mention them to the goddess and God in my worship.
Christians feel that obeying the great commision is to tell everyone they are Christians and they tell people they are going to hell.
when I was a Christian people came to me asking me if I was a Christian because they saw a difference in my life and a good number of people I studied with that lead to me baptizing ghem was I did not preach, but lived my life in such a way that they came to me asking me why I was different which resulted in them wanting bible study.I never once condemned any lifestyle and never told them they were going to hell, when asked my opinion, I refused to give it saying merely that I am not to judge anyone and my opinion did not matter and that I was only interested in what God wanted which lead them to asking what the bible really said which resulted in more bible study
I did pray for people, but only told them if they asked if I was knowing that telling people you are praying for them is an insult to some.
You have come far Leanne keep up the good work.
No, I will never go back to Christianity, but I will say that if you keep going the direction you are going then you could be a good example for your religious beliefs which could lead to people asking you why you believe the way you do.
Just remember people do have a choice like you said and do have the same right as you to believe as they choose.
If Christians coud grasp this: If they stay silent through their mouth but by their actions of love and godliness that shows they are dedicated to God the world would be turned upside down. What hinders Christianity is the judgemental attitudes of the vocal majority and the fact that a go many of these vocal people live worse lives than the people they try to convert, but they meremly say that we cannot judge them because after all a Christian is just a saved sinner.
If Christians could just grasp the concept that living what the bible says and keepoi your trap shut would turn the world upside down. If Christians would start saying, My opinion does not matter I am no one's judge, I only try to hohor God. Only then could Christianity rise to the fastest growng religion again.
Take Care
BB
Edit:
The scripture that justa frek 4 jesus quoted is talking about marrage to an unbeliever and not being friends with an unbeliever. Christians treat homosexuals bad because the bible says to not even eat with such, but a closer look at that scripture says to not eat with anyone who claims to be a believer but lives that way.
Paul said he was talking to Christians not to associate with Christians who sin and not that they had to staway from those who sin but are not Christians. Paul said they would have to leave the world in order to do that.
