"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God."
That is what the scripture says.......

You're referencing Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered satan, "It is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." He knew what he wrote, this is also written in Deuteronomy 8:3. The bible doesn't contain every word God ever spoke or will speak and is not the rendering. According to the truth which the word of God proclaims to be His words are to either Jews, Gentiles or the believer everyone is one or the other. So depending on the context it is directed more to one than the other. It is however given to let men know that we are but men and if we are going to have eternal life and avoid the second death, that He is the resurrection proved by his resurrection. Read Frank Morrison's book, Who moved the stone. Also read about Simon Greenleaf, a Harvard Law Professor whose knowledge of gathering evidence is still the standard today, proof of the resurrection; it's sobering and support Jesus bodily resurrection. This verse is saying His words are life and you're either for him or against him, there isn't a neutral stance. Check out Isaiah 45:21 .... Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together, Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides me. look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. He shall say, surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength, To Him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him.............. I don't believe nothing of deep questions that don't agree with the scripture because the bible told of the earth being a circle long before Columbus, in Isaiah 40:22. When doctors were draining blood to heal the sick, in Leviticus 17:11 it was already written "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. Critics have said Sodom and Gomorrah were fiction, and king David didn't exist, only to have egg on their face now. You know when someone wants to make their case they will delude themselves by continuing to repeat the lie over and over until the sane man will begin to question what he knows by evidence. For instance some of the big lies around us are the holocaust never happened or the germans only killed about 300 not 6 million jews and protestant christians. Jesus didn't really die he just swoned and revived and later got married and had children. The one about the earth being 30 billion years old; the rate of the suns heat loss can be measured at a constant and for the sun to have been around 30 billion years it would have been so large and close to earth that life could not have existed. Evolution is a cottage industry that employes professors and authors and offers the people a delusion rather than deal with the condemnation that we find ourselves under by God which the witness is death, the inescapable truth. What man is a fool who forsakes what he cannot keep to gain what he can not lose? There is a reward for faith, and more than just a few reasons for it. Make your election sure or be ye either hot or cold. Just get off the fence. There is a separation, goats on the left and sheep on the right. Sheep follow the shepard and are well cared for in that his reward is stored and waiting in heaven where neither moths or rust can destroy them. Goats stray and cause others to stray and lose their way and are destroyed. These are picture analogys that makes one think.

When does Jesus say that?
Acording to the Bible, Jesus is the word of God. It is written in Iseah, I think, or Eizikel. "The word will become flesh" = Jesus. So Yeah, follow Jesus. Jesus never mentions the Bible (New testiment). It wasn't even written yet...

Jesus didn't say anything about the Bible. He was making a statement about how creation is sustained by the active providence of God.

The Bible was not written by God, or even Jesus. It was written by flawed men who contradict themselves countless times throughout that book. If David Copperfield were around during that time, he would have been declared God.

when it says that it is only referring to the words he spoke that became the Bible....every part of the Bible is from God even if it seems like man wrote it. It is our job to obey the Bible as best as we can.

Your experience has blinded you and made you bigoted.

You really want everyone to realize you can't think of a single Christian that believes anything that isn't in the Bible?

You aren't much of a credit to your argument,...or anything if you have THOSE kind of problems.

WOW!

To follow that commandment you must actively seek out Christ's, will both through prayer and a thorough study of the scriptures, and then when you know his will you must strive to obey it with all you might.

It means we don't get to pick and choose the parts of the Bible we want to follow.
