Well, for people who don't already know you that might make them think, "why does he need to be judged in the first place...what did he do?"

This is how I decided if I really wanted a tat. I thought about what I would say about my tat in fifty years, and if I'd really still like it by then or if it was a phase I was going through.

Once I decided to get it, I had to decide where I wanted it and why. Take that into consideration too. You will eventually have a career where you may not want it so easily noticeable, or children that may ask what it is or what it stands for/means to you, etc. Also keep that in mind.

I ended up getting what I had sat out to--a triquatra on my lower back. It's high enough any shirt covers it easily, so I won't be categorized or anything just by having a tat. for me that symbol has much meaning, and even multiple meanings, those will never change--even when I'm in my 70s, and it is easily hidden so I decide if it's seen or not.

Good luck!

Here are some neat tat sights that you might want to check out,

What does that mean to you? Does it mean that you are gonna do whatever you want and everyone else can **** off because "only god can judge you"? Does it mean that you think God WON'T judge you?

If you're a Christian, realize that people WILL judge you based on what you say you believe. And they have a right to do so; if you talk the talk, ya better walk the walk.

To me that quote just indicates "rebel without a cause." Make sure you know your cause. I'm glad you've got a couple of years to think about it.

If you really want to show off your faith, do it with how you live your life. That's a prison tattoo....Besides (and I know this will "never" happen, but...) someday you may look at that tattoo and see it as a scar. Too many people these days are more worried about advertising than the are about delivery.

Be sure to research you tattoo artist and his work before deciding on who to use..

A tattoo is a lifetime committment so I suggest getting it in a place easily hidden when you want it hidden and easily revealed when you want it revealed.. There may come a time in your life when having a tattoo regardless of wording or picture would be a hinderance to your ultimate goals if you can't choose easily to hide it..

I personally find tattoos very sexy.. While I don't agree with the concept of a deity and your wording , depending on the font you choose a tattoo with writing can be beautiful..

Make sure to research and choose a font before going to the tattoo shop..

God WILL judge you. But I don't think people get that who use this neat little quote.

I have seen some arrogant, mysoginistic (woman-hating), social morons with that on their t-shirts, etc.

Basically, I wouldn't get it. It means, "I don't care what you think. Only God can handle me, and He's gonna say I am OK." That's nonsense. You'll die in your sins if you live like that and go to Hell. God isn't your friend who thinks your cool.

He's a holy God and He'll judge you for your sins if you don't repent.

Doesnt the Bible say getting a tattoo is bad?

Im pretty sure it does...

Leviticus 19:28 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

Well, good for you. Just think what your tattoo is going to look like in 70 years, when you are in a rest home. That'll really impress the chicks!

I think you should think long and hard about any tattoo. Will it be on a public place on your body? What kind of job will you have as adult? Will a person interviewing you for a job be able to see it? Do you believe it is ok to have a tattoo? What will your spouse and children think about it? These are just some questions for you to think about.

Best wishes to you.

you might as well get a tat of a middle finger. why not a tat of something that represents part of your culture or one of your favorites, like a very short song lyric, or ATHF :). if i saw a tat that said "only god can judge me" id think you were very concerned about what people perceive you as. and you posting such a question reinforces that. id go with carl.

For a person who believes that only God will judge him, you are certainly going out of your way to prove that to HUMANS. What do you care what other people think? Why must you mark your body with this?
