Go troll somewhere else. Only ask questions which you really desire an answer.
In court cases, the prosecution must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty. Shadow of a doubt go even further than that; without a shadow of a doubt means without even a hint of any doubt.

A shadow of a doubt is a descriptive term to indicate the least amount of doubt. When someone says they know something "beyond a shadow of a doubt," they are certifying (albeit only in the vapid form of words) that their "conviction" of something is unbreakable.
I never use the term, personally, nor the one about "every fibre of my being," and I'm not impressed, quite frankly, when somebody does. Afterall, actions speak louder than words, and if I know anything about hypocrisy, for I know I can be a great hypocrite at times, it is that words do very little to "show" people the importance of something, unless they are also accompanied by the power of the holy ghost.
Flowery witnesses are yesterday's sensation. Let's just keep things real for a change.

Take a look at your shadow. Now compared to you, that shadow has no substance it is nothing more than an outline of what you really are. The saying "beyond a shadow of a doubt" or "without a shadow of a doubt" refers to that same comparison. It means that there is so little doubt that you could not even find a vague resemblance of what could be considered doubt.

My guess is that a "shadow of a doubt" is very small.... that's the point.... People professing to have a faith so large that they don't even have the smallest doubt.
Personally, I don't use that rather trite, overly-culturalised saying. What does it really mean? Only a prophet would really know "beyond a shadow of a doubt"... that would be sure knowledge. I don't have that, as yet.
I prefer to say, I am convinced of the reality of God. I feel in my heart that Joseph Smith was a true prophet... in spite of all the strange things he said and did. The Holy Ghost can't lie... I trust that.
I have my doubts... I'm only human... but I have my testimony, too. xo

Well, shadows have to cast by something, right? Maybe they should just say "without any doubt," because that would make more sense.
Then again, Mormons always talk about faith, which they define to be "believing without knowing," but then again, if you have no doubt, wouldn't that mean that you "know" it? So how can you have any faith? Or maybe this is just tricks with semantics. Bleh.

Alissa defined the scriptures i became thinking of, yet once you do have the different questions, my digital mail is often open besides. we must be doing our ultimate to be living the commandments mutually as in this existence. As for people who don't have the prospect to marry in this existence, there'll be a manner presented. i'm grateful that God is the choose individuals, and not different human beings, for we don't see what's in others hearts. Edit: i became taught to question, not in elementary terms blindly settle for what i became informed. we are informed to wish with regards to the tips and follow from there. and not each and every thing suggested via the Prophet is Prophetic. ASK! is the biggest.

The phrase "shadow of a doubt" is not a Mormon thing. It's a common phrase. You need to get more exposure to the world and you won't have questions that are so Mormon-centric.
