Is that an old term than isn't used anymore? That was the standard when I was little.

We would say oh there is Sister Jean or Brother John....I don't hear that anymore.

Does one have faith in water being wet? Does one have faith that if one flicks a light switch into the ‘up’ position, a light generally comes on? Does one have faith that reality is nothing like Genesis says it is?

God created everything. How do we know this? Well it's in the Bible. The Bible is the word of God. God is infallible and Omnipotent. Therefore everything in the Bible is true. It's a fact.

If God wanted us to believe in your THEORY, he would have put it in the Bible. But he didn't. He told us exactly how we came to exist in the Bible, man came from the Earth, and woman came from man's rib. It's simple science. Why is it science you ask? Because God said so in the Bible.

He didn't say we were monkeys in trees eating bananas and playing with dinosaurs, no... He told us how we were made. So if evolution were real, don't you people think that "Origin of the Species" would have been included in the Bible?

God put in other theories to the Bible, like when the fall of the temple is described, that's gravity right there. And the eclipse of the sun, that's quantum mechanics, but no sign of evolution.

What is with you atheists using logic and reason all the time in your arguments!?

I ask my muslim brothers and sisters to take this example. Why are there riots when it was clearly not the way of the Prophet (PBUH)?

Here is a quote from a book I am currently reading. It is a biography of the Prophet (PBUH) entitled "Muhammad" and can be found on page 68.

"Abu Jahl, a prominent member of the Quraysh tribe, began to publicly slander and abuse Muhammad. One day he was particularly abusive, pushing, shoving, and taunting Muhammad in the street. Muhammad did not fiht back but simply retreated home."

What do you think of this?

The mental process that one uses to deduce that if one immerses cloth into water, it will become wet is the same mental process that an educated person uses to deduce that the universe is nothing like the bible states that it is. Why do Christians insist that this is a matter of faith when it is clearly a case of basic knowledge and logic?

I think that it's interesting that Jesus knew of different time zones. When Jesus spoke of the rapture, He said two shall be in the field, one shall be taken and the other left. He also said, that it would be midnight when the bridegroom comes. Jesus knew that some areas it would be night and other areas it would be day. I think Jesus knew that the earth was much bigger than known at that time and that there were different time zones.
