It is a good question. In fact GOD was among us, and the world knew him not. I"m convinced that many today saying they are "saved" have no idea who GOD is.
Matthew Chapter 24 says in the last days when they begin to say "Look JESUS is over there" don't believe them.
JESUS will return upon the clouds of HEAVEN . ..
Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.
24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.
25 Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.
This occurs after a time of great tribulation such as has never been before in the world and never will be again. This Chapter of the Bible also tells us there will be a darkness for a time just before JESUS returns. I believe the clouds that JESUS returns upon are the "cloud of witnesses" The Saints and Angels . ..
Therefore don't go running after false teachers. Stick to tradition that has been handed down to us from the Apostles. Don't follow blind guides who pick up a Bible and lead you into a jungle but don't know where they are going.
Keep the faith, keep the commandments, and watch!
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.
:responsorial edit: to those who are supposing they can use revelation to determine the future as if it is some sort of divination . .. we must understand the apocolypse in terms of THE CHURCH this is evident from the story of Noah till now . .. the liturgy, the judgement, the gospel is being told here and how we worship in the liturgy . .. perhaps prefigured of what will be in the KINGDOM TO COME . .. however all this symbolism is about THE KINGDOM WHICH IS NOW! . .. the greatest act of LOVE is one of the bloodiest moments in human history . .. the crucifixion of OUR LORD . .. horses and blood, this imagry must be understood in the context of the Church . .. and of the Bible which is theologically a work which is infallible only on faith and morals . .. therefore without this sort of understanding you can't use it as prophecy . .. it is not about the second coming . .. but about ages of the Earth and how they fit in to the plan of GOD for salvation among the people of CHRIST. Please don't use revelation as if we can tell if iran will nuke israel . .. or the time or manner of the second coming . ..

Dangerous, the question for you is are you speaking about the Rapture? The Rapture is not the 2nd coming of Jesus. He will remain in the clouds and the dead will come out of the their graves with a renewed body and the Christians that are alive at that time will be caught up with the others and ascend to heaven with Jesus.
The 2nd coming will happen at the time at Armageddon and He will be riding on White horse. There will be no mistaking Him. But if you are caught up in the Rapture...no need to worry about the events following.

His return will be just as he said, as light comes from the east and shines in the west, so shall the coming of the son of man be Christians are warned not to believe anyone one, who says he is Christ or says Christ is here or their, but that we will know it's him because he will come how he said he will, anyone else is a liar. like that fat Mexican in Miami, that's taking the money of foolish people, their have been other false Christs, like REV. Jim Jones, David Kare sh , and a host of others and their will be more, probably before the Antichrist comes on the seen, out of Rome the revised Roman empire which is the E.U. and he will set up a false peace with Israel for seven years which will only last three and a half years, then all hell breaks loose Russia from the north Iran and the surrounding Arab nations, all try to wipe out little Israel, but God himself intervenes, and destroys all but 1/6 of them , but yet it's not over still , China and their 200 million man army march down the river Euphrates, and cross through it on dry land, because Turkey built a dam that will shut the flow of the mighty river off, and again God says his anger will come up in his face, and their tongues will melt in their mouths and their flesh will fall away from their bones, well theirs more but read the book of revelations, it'll tell you anything else you need to know God bless

Oh I LOVE questions like this. Here's what Jesus Himself spoke -- (from The Message, Matthew 24 ):
"If anyone tries to flag you down, calling out, 'Here's the Messiah!' or points, 'There he is!' don't fall for it. Fake Messiahs and lying preachers are going to pop up everywhere. Their impressive credentials and dazzling performances will pull the wool over the eyes of even those who ought to know better. But I've given you fair warning.
"So if they say, 'Run to the country and see him arrive!' or, 'Quick, get downtown, see him come!' don't give them the time of day! The Arrival of the Son of Man isn't something you go to see. He comes like swift lightning to you! Whenever you see crowds gathering, think of carrion vultures circling, moving in, hovering over a rotting carcass. You can be quite sure that it's not the living Son of Man pulling in those crowds.
"Following those hard times,
Sun will fade out,
moon cloud over,
Stars fall out of the sky,
cosmic powers tremble.
"Then, the Arrival of the Son of Man! It will fill the skies--no one will miss it. Unready people all over the world, outsiders to the splendor and power, will raise a huge lament as they watch the Son of Man blazing out of heaven. At the same moment, He'll dispatch His angels with a trumpet-blast summons, pulling in God's chosen from the four winds, from pole to pole."
Whoa! AWESOME!!!!!!!

How many nutjobs are there that can come riding a horse on the clouds? How many trumpets can be sounded and heard everywhere in the world at the same time?
When Jesus returns I don't think it will be difficult to recognize Him. Of course, the people who know Him will disappear in an instant, and those who don't know Him will be oblivious to Him, which makes this whole conversation moot.

This is how we will know:
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
1 Corinthians 15:50-58
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?
The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Jesus tells us that when He returns it will be as the lightning flashes from the east unto the west. We are also told that He will come down to the Holy mountain in Israel and it will split in two as He stands upon it. I think it's safe to say that God will make it very obvious to all.

Well first lets get this return myth out of the way, fact NO 1 Jesus is dead, fact no 2 he is buried in Israel, fact no 3 dead people do not return, and fact no 4 people 2000 years from now will still be asking this same dumb question.
