Loving is an act of giving that does not expect anything in return, because it is an offering. This loving is compassion and mercy and generosity of spirit. It is selfless and true love flows from God through the heart of the loving person and outwards to others who are touched by that love.
As a realist, I think that sadly, no matter how many try to make peace, there will always be those that want to create chaos, wars, misery and suffering. They do so because they follow the tenet: "the means justifies the ends".
Peace :)

Yes, it could be very simple.
Why is it that most people look normal when they lead a low profile life? Easy, take care of the kids, everyday life.
But: give them money or a rank and they become petty dictators. They want more money and more influence. The fate of the others becomes irrelevant to them.
All people are entitled to the same share of hapiness, food and wealth.
Stop the hunger should be the first priority.
Education is number two.
Who wants to be the boss has to clean the toilets.
A nice day!

Love is a choice and a commitment NOT A FEELING. To love someone means that you dedicate yourself to caring for and caring about someone. It means that you put someone Else's needs before your own. English is a poor language to try to define the word love.
There are other languages, such as Greek, which has many more words which cover the many ideas that the English word Love is supposed to cover. A lot of students of the New Testament learn some of these. "Eros" is romantic love. It involves sex and lust as well as married passion. "Philos" is the love you feel for your friends and associates and is more affection and friendship.
The third main word is "Agape" and it is the love we as Christians are supposed to have for others. It is the "pure love of Christ" translated into English as "Charity" in the KJV. It is the definition I was trying to give at the beginning of this answer. It involves a lack of selfishness and concern for your own selfish desires. You don't have to have the credit, and you are genuinely happy about the successes of others
The loving feelings usually follow the actions, but you do not have to "feel" love to love others.
"Storge" is another word meaning affection for your family members and close friends. It is used in modern Greek, rather than the ancient.

You're right.
The meaning of loving others is that you progress spiritually.
Loving means you respect, you tolerate, you help, you support, you advice, you heal, you pray for, you hear, you understand, you accept, you forgive, you embrace the others.
Loving also means you don't judge, you don't cheat, you don't deceive, you don't hurt, you don't fight the others.
Peace begins within us.
Peace!
