What are you talking about? Most born and raised Mormons "Know beyond a shadow of a doubt" that it is true.
Funny thing is though, it is as you say, mostly through peer pressure; the conformity goes along ways in causing, keeping, and deepening brainwash.
Here is a link you may enjoy that talks about conformity and beliefs.

VEen if an LDSer had doubts they would deny that they had doubts even to themselves, why would you want to feel like an idiot for follwing such BS?
Been there dont that, but the fact is, I didnt know all the BS it is once I started having doubts and did research I realized how insane some things are! On the sruface the church looks nice, then you get to the temple and ask yourself "Is this for real? How are these people doing this with a straight face?"
NO wonder they don't talk about it....

Why do you think I have doubts? You did and that was you, but that does not mean all Mormons do. I am not brainwashed, I am not forced to believe nor would I be disowned from my family. In fact my husband was disowned by his family for becoming Mormon when he first joined the LDS church (it was alright that he had been a member of about 8 other Christian Churches previously in trying to find the truth).

Yes, I would. Of course I have doubts.
I would say that to you, and I say it on the pulpit, too. Who cares about the STUPID PEER PRESSURE. I'm me, a daughter of God. I've got my own testimony. I try to respect the feelings of the Mollys and Marvins, but I'm really trying to make a point here (and at church): We don't have to be PERFECT in THIS LIFE!
Jesus loves me as I am, making progress, but not perfect. If that's good enough for him, it can be good enough for the Molly Mormons.
See my reply to your "shadow of a doubt" thingy.
Love ya.
Added: Sorry, Cheese and Rice, just having my rant. It's nothing personal, lol.

Jesus "in no way replaced his church"??? you have in no way examine the Bible, have you ever? Jehovah of the previous testomony (whom Jesus explicitly claimed to be) replaced the church a team of situations, the main obtrusive of which grow to be while Moses introduced down the unique ten commandments and observed that the individuals have been all worshiping a gold calf, so he broke them and have been given a distinctive set of commandments. additionally, the comprehensive New testomony is a metamorphosis interior the church's doctrine that one and all Christians comfortably settle for. The changing gospel is a basic area of Christianity. Whoops! LOL as some distance because of the fact the "pending proceedings"...that's the 1st i've got heard of that. i may be attracted to discovering extra approximately that. might you care to place up a link or another info? question for Jim: What area and verse interior the D&C? I in basic terms did a seek and could no longer discover the scripture you're concerning.....

Hi, I'm Joseph Smith, I have these golden plates given to me by an angel, but you cant see them. God wants me to do what revelations 22:18 tells me not to do by writing a different bible. I'll make a faith where a man can have many wives, and go out and constantly harrass his neighbors day and night to convert. Yes, Jesus came to america long ago, but for some reason non of the indians were christians when whites came over here.
Any other reasons to doubt needed?

Every religion has points to it that are hard to believe. Look at Noah and the arc. Look at Jesus and all the miralces he performed. If we saw someone today we would be like what? David Copperfield? Is that you?
There is only one way to find out and that is to pray with an open mind and a full heart.

If I had any doubts about the church I would definetly not ask you, I would get the right sources (lds and mormon.org, BoM, missionaries, people from church, etc...)
Why isn't anyone asking Mormon questions tonight but you? I'm getting bored!
*I didn't say you're boring at all. Is that besides you there are not more people asking real questions about our church so I could give some answers... ^_^
