Is it because they secretly want to experiment with homosexuality?

2007-07-08 21:30:40 · 14 answers · asked by Anonymous

Christians claim that we humans are created by God and
we are the way we are and look the way we look because
God designed each and everyone according to his will.
Did i miss something? Did God intend for gays and lesbians
to populate at least 30% of human population?
Where in the Bible did God say "Oh my sons, you shall poke each others assets with your holy sticks!" and "Oh my daughters, you shall finger each other ever so gengly!"
The point is, gays were created by God and when they go
to heaven they will still be gay because God created Gays
to his own design and Gays should be proud of what God
has made them. RIght?

Christians? hello Christains? I have a question.
How do you know that the Bible is true and not made up?
How do you know that all Religions besides Christianity
is false?
How do you know that the miracles happening to you is
by God's answering and not a coincidence?
Faith?
How do you know that your faith is real?
Seriously? The Bible is unreliable because you never knew
if any false prophet had a hand on the Bible. You are reading a Bible claimed to be written by God's will, yet you can never be sure that it is legitimate.
Even if God existed and intended on a Bible to be written but how can you be so sure that the very Bible you are reading is that of God's and not some false prophets? Maybe there is a hidden Bible that is the real one. How can you know?
You claim faith? You claim miracles from praying?
How can you be so sure those miracles(coincidence, luck) would not have occured despite your faith or prayers?
How can you know?

"The third major characteristic of God - "infinitude" - is the catchall, the universal modifier of Christian theology. God is not merely a being; he is infinite being. God is not merely good; he is infinite goodness. God is not merely wise; he is infinite wisdom. And so on down the list. God is exaggeration run amuck."

This is what we believe, lets fix the misconceptions
(1) Bible: Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.
(2) God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one group—“Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
(3) Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says,, he is the Son of God, the first of God’s creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914

The one thing I DO NOT stand for is people forcing their belife systems on me or others against their will! I belive freedom of choice is everything! A lot of religous fanatics force religion on the Non religous types....this is wrong. Ps I belive in God but that is my choice....I pressure no one and think its terrible when others put down people for not choosing their religion. If my child wants to be a buddhist, Athiest....even Muslim that is their right!

what i mean is sometimes we find it hard when we think that we will die sooner or later. Do you or do you not believe that there is something that God has put in to our substance/body that make us felt that way in regards with dying.

I don not know when I became a Christian, I just remember realizing that I was. I just went to church with my parents because that was what I was supposed to do. Then, when I was 13 and in the 8th grade, my cousin was murdered in Philadelphia. It made me so sick for the longest time. Then almost an exact year later, my uncle and my grandma died a week apart. I was already struggling with the loss of my cousin and I now had to deal with losing 2 more people. I was so angry and so bitter that I wanted nothing to do with anyone. It felt like I was all alone. Later that year in April, I went to a concert called BattleCry in Baltimore witha friend and her church and I saw the Newsboys. There, I rededicated my life to Christ. Since that moment I was diagnosed with type1 diabetes. I was hurt because I thought it was unfair that I had the disease when other people were perfectly healthy. Sometimes I still get angry about having to live the rest of my life with this disease, but...

I'm sort of on a roll tonight and I've asked 2 questions already - so bear with me. It's just that...I've had a lot of really interesting experiences (that's a nice way to put it) and I'm asking a lot of questions. My faith in God and love for Him has NEVER waivered - but my belief in religion and the church is in serious question. I've been a Christian since I was very small. no one ever told me about God - I just knew and I loved Him. Still do. Despite 15 years spent in an abusive cult and later being asked to leave a church because I initiated a divorce from an abusive man. I am now engaged to a man from India and I'm finding that a LOT of what we Christians in the West call Christianity is SIMPLY CULTURE...and I feel confined by the things the church says/does...I want to know what is really necessary to be a true Christian? I think it's just faith and love in God...the rest (doing His will, etc) comes from that...am I right? I can't believe it's a list of rules any more.

Why is that when someone such as a Christian asks a serious question and wants a serious response, that every Atheist and person that does not believe feel compelled to throw their comments in? If you have nothing good to say, why say it? Could it be that you people are threatened? Why are you in here anyway, to try to convert us Christians to Agnostics or Atheists? Do you feel its your "Earthly" duty to "save us" from our saviour? Ok, now its a race to see who wins the prize for first ridiculous response...GO!!!!!

My question is.
I know many of you except Yaweh or Jehovah as Gods name but you still choose not to except a Bible study with one of Jehovah God's witnesses. Why does'nt it click in your mind that these must be God's people? if they carry his name?Plus their conduct is clean, they do what Jesus did, right?

This question is for people who know God's true name.

I mean, what a stupid religion you guys have!

You don't even believe in God, or an afterlife, or anything supernatural like that! It's silly! How can it be a proper religion if you don't have any of that?!

You atheists might as well NOT HAVE any religion.

The only book you have is The God Delusion, and that isn't a proper religious book, because the bible is thousands of years old, and that makes it a proper religious book. Richard Dawkins wasn't inspired by God to write it, heck, he doesn't even believe in God, so how could it be religious ???

Why don't you guys get a real religion?
Become Christians, which is a real religion.

One final word to all our atheist friends, the christian god is a loving god, join our religion, as your religion has no god, which is silly.

Our church is quite small but we have a good group of kids that need something. We cannot afford alot right now, but if we can build up our program, we could convince our finance board to fund some more. Please help! We are really struggling to keep people attending church.

I’ve known a few, and all of them have occasionally given up on the faith, and then relapsed back into Christianity.

For once I’m not trying to make salient points or flame anyone.

I’d like to hear your take on people that loose their faith.

Has it happened to you?
Is it happening to you now?
How frequently do these lapses of faith happen?

Etc.

I have been a Christian for many, many years - and I really love God. However, I've had a lot of really hard experiences in the church. It seems to me that there is a "one-size-fits-all" mentality amongst us (at least here in the West). I hear the word "just" too often: "JUST pray"... "JUST forgive"... "JUST give it to Jesus". I don't really think there is a "JUST" do any one thing... God is diverse and creative. I really think we put Him in a box...what do you think? I've often felt I was never good enough as a Christian. I'm tired of it and I don't really think it's true any more! What are your thoughts?

When they ask.."If we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys..?", among many other things they are they are missing some persepctive..

Archaebacteria emerged at least 3.5 billion years ago and are the oldest life forms.

So, should the ill informed creationists question really be..: If everything evolved from archaebactreia, then why are there still archaebacteria..?

The "smarter" ones should at least gather a clue from this.. I'm not holding my breath of course..

If in doubt, do a web search on "extremophiles" or "archaebacteria", but be careful, you might learn something..

I think something should be done about your education system. SOme of the answers I see on here, most, and we're talking 99%, being from Americans, are just MIND NUMBINGLY stupid.

It just worries me that so many of the total idiots in this section have a vote, and I worry that they might elect a really bad leader that could potentially wreak havoc all over the world...
Oh wait....

I know there are obviously lots of smart people in America, but my God, what a load of Idiots you have there.

Before you hit back at me instead of addressig my question by attacking Ireland (and proving my point), you should know that it's an Island on the north east of the atlantic, it has one of the best education systems in the world, and it has the second strongest economy in europe based on GNP. We do not have a potato famine either, in case you wanted to throw that in.

Sorry if I insulted any INTELLIGENT, Americans. ALthough given this site, I doubt many read it.
