Nothing makes me satisfied.
1) I thought that having all my courses at university A+ s will make satisfied and I really did that I took 8 courses and I got A+ in all of them but this didn't make me satisfied.
2) I tried masturbation but it didn't work.
3) I am actually muslim and a lot of people advised me to be closer to God and that this is the best way to be satisfied but I am really shy to face him. How can I be closer to God if I masturbate and I know that masturbation is banned in my religion? How can I do that if I spend at least 3 hours everyday listening to music and I know that music is banned in my religion. sometimes I feel that I just want to have sex with somebody and sometimes I have a strong desire to drink alcohol. I love a Jewish man and I know that I can not marry him because muslim women can not marry non muslim men.
But I love him. I pray but I am not sure if God accepts my prayer. I am lost and I don't know what to do.
please help . Thank you.

I hope I don't end up regreting this question but I am sincere in asking this. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and when I am out in my ministy work many people say the same thing to me over and over (just before slamming the door)
"I have my OWN religion", or "We're happy with our church", or (my favorite) "I'm a BAPTIST"
I find this amusing because nearly all "religions" preach love of neighbor, and even enemy, right? So if your brother shows up at your door wanting to discuss your Father, why is this so objectionable to you?
Most of you don't have any problem with missionaries going to developing nations to convert the natives, right? Didn't they have "their own religion"? Didn't those missionaries "try to cram their own beliefs down (the natives) throats"?
Jesus gave all his folowers the command to preach the "good news" of the Kingdom. If you think I'm wrong, why aren't you preaching to me?
When one of Jehovah's Witnesses knocks on my door, (who I haven't met)

1. Believe in something which has little to no proof of existance

2. Automatically suggest any other religion EG. Paganistic Religions (which some were pre-christian) Is either wrong or "Not True"

3. Feel that whenever somebody disagrees with you, you must use the "God will punish you/You will go to hell" Lines

4. Feel you need to change the laws because of YOUR religion. (Eg. The Christians who got annoyed because people can shop on a sunday)

5.Break your own commandments (EG. (im using shortened virsions) you must not kill, yet, according to the bible, god drowned millions of people.

6. Feel you need to always lead others onto YOUR path (People have a choice)

7. If he is such a "Loving God" Why does he condem eternal
Suffering

8. (This is for the extremeists/Idiots) Think pokémon is evil and promotes satanism, Think that the Force from Starwars is run by demons, and think Harry Potter is evil. (THESE ARE ALL WORKS OF FICTION, CAN I JUST POINT THAT OUT.. THERE NOT REAL

Christ Love
by Shirley Smothers

Heart beats young

Heart beats old,

A love of Christ

Your heart beats bold.

Be ye rich

Be ye poor,

A love of Christ

You'll have so much more.

The rain falls

On just and unjust.

But remember Christ

Rain settles the dust.

Don't float listlessly

On a sea of confusion.

For a life without

Christ is a life of delusion.

Don't be the sand

Upon the shore.

Open your heart

Christ will open the door.

will you open your heart, just a bit? He will show you.

Clearly, without polygamy the Mormon church would not exist today.

The First President and Founder of LDS, Joseph Smith, created polygamy as a "moral" way to take several lovers. He had 34 wives.

It was also Smith who started the "child bride" facet of Mormonism by taking teenage brides as young as 14.

The Second President of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints, Brigham Young was the worse recorded with 51 wives and 56 children.

The Third President of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (1880-1887) had 7 wives and 35 children

The Fourth President of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (1889-1898) had 6 wives.

The Fifth President of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (1898-1901) had 10 wives.

The Sixth President of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (1901-1918) had 48 children between his 6 wives

I'm having a problem seeing how Christians can believe in the Bible and intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. It would be an amazing coincidence if every planet had the Bible. So can people believe in the Bible and aliens? I guess that's my first question.

This question is aimed at fellow christians.
If a christian were to commit suicide would they still be allowed to enter heaven? Are there any scriptures that can back that up?

Also, is it truly possible to fall away from God? And how would one know if they truly did fall away? Likewise, how would one know that they're still saved?
I'd greatly appreciate the answers.

I always wondered why most Christians are supportive of war, most recently the war in Iraq. I grew up in a Christian home where war was seen as an avenue to peace. War and peace seem like opposites to me.

I have read the bible extensively and looking at Jesus' life, it seems that he stood for peace; love your neighbor, turn the other cheek, blessed are the peacemakers. What I want to know is why Christians today seem to overwhelmingly support war, as well as political leaders that support war and violence? I am stating this as a generality, as there are lots of Christians I am sure who do not support war.

If people say they are Christians (christ followers, little christs) shouldn't they be following in the footsteps of peace and love as Jesus did, instead of continuing to segregate and cause divisions among people?

How many of you actually do what God wants you to do and not what you yourself want to do?What I mean is God tells us to obey his commandments ,thy shall not commit murder but to have any hatred in your heart his committing murder with your heart, thy shall not commit adultry but to lust in your heart you have already committed adultry. So what do you say,but God I didn't touch her or him I only looked for a second, there for wouldn't you be doing what you wanted and not what God wanted?God gives us choices I know that but if we Christians really had God in our hearts wouldn't we do the right thing?I am really curiuse on your thoughts

through evolution, animals will eventually get to the point where humans are now, which means we're in deep end of **** for all the cruelty we've done to them, when they come seeking revenge. Or has god limited their advancements?
