amnesty: a general pardon for offenses, esp. political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

unless i break a law of my state or country (and get caught for it) i don't really need amnesty...but I will always need forgiveness (rather than "pardon" that you mentioned which is synonymous for amnesty) for my sins.

sins aren't necessarily going to be laws that are broken. they are moral & biblical, but not punishable by my government...well, unless i kill someone i guess. the government won't ever put me in jail for dishonoring my parents...you know what i mean?!

Pardon and amnesty are the same thing, synonyms. Pardon is actually the definition of amnesty.

A pardon does not wipe the crime or monetary fines from the record, only the jail sentence.
Amnesty takes away all sin..

Amnesty is for people who broke civil laws....

Pardon of sins is for people who have broke moral rules.

We are already pardon for your sins if you believe in Jesus, if you do not believe in him you are still under the 10 commandments.

God states in the bible to follow the laws of the land.
