How many of you actually do what God wants you to do and not what you yourself want to do?What I mean is God tells us to obey his commandments ,thy shall not commit murder but to have any hatred in your heart his committing murder with your heart, thy shall not commit adultry but to lust in your heart you have already committed adultry. So what do you say,but God I didn't touch her or him I only looked for a second, there for wouldn't you be doing what you wanted and not what God wanted?God gives us choices I know that but if we Christians really had God in our hearts wouldn't we do the right thing?I am really curiuse on your thoughts

When you are born of God through faith in Jesus Christ, obedience to God is no longer a tedious, joyless thing, but one progressively becomes more and more like Jesus, of whom it was written:
"I delight to do Your will o My God, Your law is within My heart." Psalm 40:6
This is what the Prophet Jeremiah wrote, quoted in Hebrews 8:7-13

"For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said:
"The time is coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.
It will not be like the covenant
I made with their forefathers
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,'
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more."
By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear."

That is why Jesus said "You must be born again."
We must receive the Spirit of Christ, which is given as a gift through faith.

Every Christian commits sin, because we were all born with the disease of sin. The object is to work towards becoming as sinless as we can and to take in an accurate knowledge of truth so that we can become like Christ. Its called being human. Many people sin and they don't even know it because they refuse to read the bible and understand what the bible really says. The bible is a very complicated book, you can't just open it up and read one passage and understand the meaning, you have to see it in its entirety. Jesus was the only perfect human because he was touched by God and given knowledge that humans don't have. : )

We are not under the 10 commandments if you believe in Jesus, his blood was shed for you to cover your sins.

If you follow his word with sound doctorine you will know what is wright from wrong (Hebrews 8: 7 – 13 (he wrote the laws into their hearts)

DO THE WILL OF GOD

You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Jesus Christ taught tolerance. He said the spirit of the law is more important than the letter of the law.
If you read Leviticus ( the 1001 commandments ) as the Law Of God as spoken by Moses, then there is a lot of damnation walking around. Christ taught the law as a guide to living.
The catholic church, the crusades, the Muslim wars, were all meant to denounce and destroy the Israelites and thereby become holy. Which is why we no longer follow the teachings of Christ as he lived, by the law set down by God as told by Moses.

We all struggle with sin none of us is perfect only forgiven. We try to be holy but our nature keeps us from it. Even Paul had this issue.
Romans Chapter7 v 18 I know I am rotten through and through so far as my old sinful nature is concerned. No matter which way I turn, I can't make myself do right. I want to, but I can't. 19 When I want to do good, I don't. And when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway. 20 But if I am doing what I don't want to do, I am not really the one doing it; the sin within me is doing it.should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more kindness and forgiveness?

I say no!

For all the law is fulfilledn one word, even in this; Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself. Galatians 5/14
Christ died for any sins I have or ever will commit being human I sin dayly and if I was judge by my merits along with everyone else on earth present and past I would go to hell. But Jesus paid for my and who ever believes in him sins.
When God judges us the blood of Jesus will say these here
sins are paid in full.

along with the commandments, god gave us free will. We are human and no matter what you do, how hard you try each and everyone of us will sin. I think each of us individually truely knows if we have god in our hearts. If a person sins, it doesn't mean that we don't have god in our hearts, and it is up to each of us when we sin, what to do about that sin. I don't feel that just because someone professes to be a christian and goes to church every sunday and gives 10% of their pay to the church, is earasing their sins or making them any more christian, or making up for their sins. We all sin it is personally within yourself and between god if you do the right thing. But to go around and judge yourself and others is a sin in itself, thou sall not judge, so who is anyone to claim that the next guy doesn't have god in their heatr because they sinned? i'm not saying sinning is good or justifiable, i am saying it is inevitable and going to happen no matter how hard anyone tries, but don't be a hipocrite and say that if christians had god in their hearts they would not sin, that is a sin in itself cause it isn't for you or anyone to judge it is for god and you to face.Live, love, learn, but dont flogg yourself if you sin, you are human, assk god to forgive you, is he not a forgiving god?

For me, I can only know what God wants me to do by educating myself...reading scripture, praying, and choosing Christ as my mentor and example. The commandments show me that in and of myself (intellect/actions) I can never be perfect to keep the laws stated in them. That is why I meditate on scripture to keep my mind, thoughts and actions to show compassion and love. I am not always successful, so then it is on my knees or to a quite place I go to get guidance and forgiveness. I do not have biblical training or a degree in theology so maybe someone else can explain better than I.

if people really had God in their hearts they would do what He tells them to, yet even if they do they could still do what the body wants. we are not perfect and can still fall into sin and God knows that. He wants us to do the right thing but knows we won't do it all the time. that is why he sent Jesus to take the pay for our sins, so that we may have our sins forgiven and stand perfect in God's eyes through the blood of Jesus

We are not God like. Thats the whole point of having faith in a God. It is a constant struggle to attain some semblance of Godliness.

My advice is go ahead and stare all you like as long as it isn't my daughter then you may feel the wrath of the All Mighty Smith and the All Mighty Wesson.

AMEN!!!
