Since Satan roars like a lion, owning a cat is just inviting Satanic influences into your house. You would loose your faith, start drinking and being promiscuous, and begin to think Liberals are decent folks. Baby Jesus cries when you own a cat.

Having a cat is a good thing. The bible says that cats are clean and pagans think that cats and other things are just a way to express their beliefs. Most of the holidays originated from pagan holidays. Plants, stories etc. are in some way, used or celibrated by pagans.

When cats were first created, they had no false religious origins. This came later.
If the community where you live, as a whole, have no problems with you owning a cat, then it would be proper to do it.

What religious affiliation??? Speaking as a Christian, I own one, and had a (Christian) friend who once had three. Cats are perfectly acceptable pets! Adopt a homeless one...or two.... :)

Sure, God gave us animals to enjoy and to love us back. If you have been involved in animal sacrifice you may have some guilt associated with owning a cat. But God forgives and it is not punishing you by having a cat. Enjoy the fluffy little creature!!!!

Yeah. Not to sound stupid, but this is all I could think of. It's not the cats fault.
