Satan? just a thought.?

i asked this earlyer.
so dont get mad.
have you ever stop to think maybe satan was the true god? this could explain why the world is so messed up. you know just the way it is except god is lower. once again im not trying to put anyone or your god down. this is just a thought that came to me. how do you feel about this?

oh i also am atheist. i was just curious.

I never viewed it that way and I still don't. I respect all religions. I think to each his own on how they interpert things, but I think it is very crucial to know the history of religion and where it came from, I think only then knowing history and history of religions, can anyone decifer anything from it. I don't believe satan was a god, I believe he is a fallen angel. i don't think he created hell because he enjoyed evil, I think he created it because he questiond god so much that god wanted him to proove that he could save the souls and send them to heaven, but to do so he has to make them live the hell they have created for themselves so that theyunderstand and want forgiveness. I don't interpert satan as the hollywood red horned thing galdly bringing souls to hell. have you ever read Memnoch the devil by ann rice, she has a very interesting take on this. It is in the cronicles of the vampire series, but w/n the book she really has an interesting twist and view on this topic, and she has clearly and deeply researched history. I am a Mainline to liberal christian protistant, myself. I respect all viewsm but I think holywood has really done a job satan aspect. I don't say that glorifying satan, i just say that meanning that clearly for entertainment there are many perceptions and some of them in my studies are really off and out there.

John writes this to Christians:

"We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one."
I John 5:21

ya cant have it both ways pal. If you are an atheist and dont acknowledge a Supreme Being (as IN GOD) then how can you acknowledge Satan (who by the way is GOD's ENEMY) therefore your question has no substance.

Yeh ive thought that before, what if god was an evil god, and all his subjects were horribly heinous people who despised morality, I dunno I guess we're just his play things huh?
