God teaches us thru HIS WORD (Bible), not by some sickness or diseases. Just imagine, if u are sick and u die, what lesson would you learn? God do not make a car freak accident to someone to show you that u must be very careful when u cross the road! His word said : Nothing shall by any means hurt You.
You just need to believe that simple truth and put your trust on GOD. This is the way GOD teaches YOU...to have faith in HIM.

That's really two mysteries.
the first mystery pertains to CHRIST being in us. As you do unto others you do unto CHRIST. As you do not do unto the least of JESUS brothers you have not done so for GOD. Clearly we can find CHRIST in our brothers and sisters, and particularly in the distressing disguise of suffering and poverty.
The second mystery pertains to suffering. Why does GOD let people suffer? There are many answers to this question. We must be aware that GOD will wipe away all tears.
Is GOD teaching us? Some say authentic LOVE is tested LOVE. Sometimes we learn more about ourselves through tribulation that we might not know otherwise. GOD already knows. GOD knew what Saint Peter would do before the cocked crowed, but Saint Peter didn't know. Who was GOD teaching then . .. Saint Peter learned from this something about himself, something GOD already knew . .. GOD allowed that to happen . .. and GOD OUR FATHER allowed GOD THE SON to be crucified . ..
These are mysteries that should be contemplated in the context of Sacred Scripture.
-LOVE your nieghbor as yourself.
Amen.

I think so. One thing you learn from a loved one suffering is the importance of Mercy.
We often want divine healing, but if we always got that, we'd have no value of mercy.
I look at every day as a learning experience, and hope that I take something home from it that I can keep eternally.

God uses a variety of ways to teach, guide and speak to us. Yes, many times he uses people who are stronger in faith to speak or guide us. Sometimes a person with a mature faith can explain things better to us, especially if we're close. Also, on other occasions, strangers may touch us in very special ways, and through their acts of kindness, we may be touched by God's grace. Of course, reading the Bible and actual prayer is a more direct way to get to know God. But in truth, many of us may go through great periods of doubt, where we need a living soul or an experience from somebody else to rekindle our faith. In the end, there may be people touching our lives with kindness and love, but we can still not sense God's goodness in them. It's like eating an apple pie and saying - shucks, it's full of sour apples, or seeing a beautiful sunset and saying : its the same everyday. It is how we respond to life and people and ultimately to God -- and whether we choose to see him in action, or choose to reject him.
If your loved one is very ill, and youre not, you shd be thankful youre healthy and not bitter that your loved one is ill. We can only pray for recovery for our sick family members and leave God to heal in his own time. Also, it is better for the sick person to make peace with God and not get too embroiled in what is after all a personal affair.

Yes God speaks to us thru other people, thru different situations that come up during the day. Alot of people tend to miss the voice of God thru these avenues and think God is not answering their prayers.
