Dave Browning---How can you deny that Christians blame the Devil for the bad things that happen.
I read this excuse all the time right here on this site
I'm 73 years old and I'll bet I've heard this a hundred times in my life.
Christians either blame Man or the Devil, or both, every time their god does something calloused and cruel.
It's their favorite excuse.
I'm beginning to believe one has to be disshonest in order to be a Christian.

Also, I've noticed that when one tells that lie, the others see it and start repeating it.

Try posting the question" Why does God allow innocent babies to be inflicted with diseases and deformaties?"---- See how many "DEVIL did it" answers you get.

Dave---I see that you've recognized Wiley. Is that the kind of programs YOU watch?

ARCANUM---If I can remember that many, how many more christians are out their repeating this same lie, since 100 is not enough liars to impress you?
Are you really dishonst enough to claim that you have not heard this excuse many times?
I simply didn't want to exagerate, but I doubt you'll understand that.

1/3 of the people answering here seem to accept the fact that Christians use this excuse.

It's a crutch, plain and simple.

Easier to blame a fictional character than to actually take responsibility for something that you may do.

Just and ordinary angel!

Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

Satan's Doom
Revelation 20:7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

So much for the old Roadrunner!
And Remember this GOD Loves You, Satan Hates You!

I've never heard anyone, much less a Christian, blame the Devil for bad things...

Ok, there was one person, once upon a time who used to blame the Devil for every bad thing... a guy named Flip Wilson, a very talented comedian who many years ago had his own variety show... one of his catch-phrases was "The Devil made me do it!"

He's the only one I've ever heard say that... and, of course, his catch-phrase caught on, so there have also been t-shirts that said that.

I've never heard a Christian blame the devil for all the bad things that happen. Is this like how all of us Christians apparently believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old and flat? Or how we apparently are afraid of science? Perhaps it's like how we apparently all want a theocracy?

From your post "I'm 73 years old and I'll bet I've heard this a hundred times in my life."

A hundred times, out of seventy-three years? Wow, and that low a percentile considering how many Christians you would have met over seventy-three years and you felt it was important enough to post a question about?

Who said Christians blame the devil for all bad things? There are simply bad people out there. and why reference it to a cartoon? is that as high of programming you watch?

I usually don't hear "Christians" blaming the "devil" for all the bad, I think it is our choice what we do and the results of our actions. Now as you say God as Wile E Coyote, I disagree. I see that more as the devil as he can never get one over on God........ Hmmmm......... he tried to kill God's son and Jesus ROSE from the died................who hit the tree????????

Did your mom ever end intense college? this is organic for people to pick a God to offload their issues on. Then they do no longer could desire to take duty. this is the easy way out. It takes brains to get around that urge.

People make choices, Satan just loves it when they make the wrong choice, it gives him more company. He cares not about people. You can not blame God or Satan for a decision YOU make.

Have they never heeded all the warnings about lying?
