We are put into the extremely difficult circumstances of life, and we do the best we can at muddling throught it, knowing that all our efforts will ultimately just result in death, and probably a good deal of suffering before death. . .why do we need to be forgiven for doing what we can with a bad situation? If anyone needs to be forgiven, it's God, for putting us in such a lousy situation (disease, poverty, floods, drought, you name it).

I read in this mornings paper that Rev. Billy Graham's wife, Ruth, is in a coma and near death. Has anyone heard any updates? I love this family so much. They are wonderful examples for all of us.

I've been contemplating a move to a different state so I mentioned it to my pastor yesterday. He wasn't too keen on the idea for various reasons, but he said it was ultimately my decision. I had my heart set on moving regardless in a few months. Well, today a headhunter called me out of the blue (I've been looking for a new job for a couple of years, but a headhunter has never called me) and asked if I would consider a pretty good job in the current state I'm in. I said I'd look into it so I have an interview next week. Nothing is final yet, but if God really wanted someone to stay, might it look like this or do you think it's just a coincidence?

My wife is a good person with good values. She goes to church all of the time and she loves God. She told me when she was a little girl, she got sick one night and cried out to Jesus one night to help her and she said she looked up and saw an angel and soon after she felt better. Then when she was older, she went to sleep on the couch one night and looked up and saw the same angel she had seen 20 years earlier. Noe she is teling me she had a dream in which she saw Jesus and Jesus was telling her He would never leave nor forsake her. What do you make of this? No wise cracks or jokes, just your honest opinion

life. To be Jesus' bride and to be all dressed up. I was a little bit scared but I remember thinking that the host was Jesus and I had better not bite into it and I was just in awe of the day. I slowly calmed down with it but I always remembered that and then he called me back to a close relationship to him later and I have been so close ever since.

There seems be an equal lack of evidence to support the divinity and omnipotence of each religious object. It does appear that there is evidence that Chirst and Mohammed actually lived, but there is no evidence of their divinit. Is it just a matter of which household you grow up in?

The reason for my question is this is what my friend's mother-in-law said to her.

She is Protestant, her husband just returned to the Catholic church after years of non-attendance, they were married during that time. The MIL is insistent the she now go to Catholic church because that is the only church that will get her to heaven.

I asked a very close Catholic friend of mine this same question and she did not reply, which implied that this is so. So, I ask you, is this what the church teaches? If so, why?

what religion(s) (or philosophy, belief system, etc.) do you feel is second best to your own? you don't have to explain why, but it would be more interesting if you did. also tell me what religion (or whatever) you are right now.

Imagine...

You're 25.

You've never been introduced to any form of religion.

You've never heard about spirits, gods, creators, evils, etc.

One day you're brought into a room, where representives are gathered around a gigantic table, one person representing each of the most wide-spread religions we have today. Dozens upon dozens are seated, and one by one they introduce you to their beliefs, and if they have any, to their holy writings and customs.

You have a religious belief right now (even if you're atheist). Explain why you would reject all of them except for the one you believe (or why you would choose to not choose).

I want to hear from people who believe the Earth is fixed and the rest of the solar system revolves around the Earth.

This kook of a site tries to say the the Earth is fixed in space and the rest of the universe revolves around the Earth based on some bible verses and the only proof they have are these bible verses.

When I buy a round trip plane ticket from Orlando to Los Angeles with no stops (both ways). I ride in the same model plane both ways going the same speed.

It takes quite a bit longer for me to get from L.A. to Orlando than it does for me to get from Orlando to L.A.

Why is that...??? Is it because the plane enters some sort of mystical rift in time and space

~or~

Is it the more logical solution that the Earth actually rotates on an axis and that the plane is going WITH the rotation of the Earth in one direction and AGAINST the rotation of the Earth in the other direction?

God promises if two or three pray in Jesus' name, the prayer will be answered. Maybe we won't get what we wish for, but God certainly will do something about the problem.
So please pray for my friend Fred and his wife Karin. Fred just has heard he has cancer in his stomach. This week he is examined further to see what can be done about it. He doesn't know yet if it is fatal or if it can be treated. Tuesday june 19th he will hear the results of the tests.

So please pray with me for mental support for Fred and Karin. And if we dare ask God to cure him.
Thank you very much. Harald

The devil gives us the desire for the opposite sex...and the same sex for some and put it upon the flesh. So man can be attracted to more than one person sexualy in there lifetime. People must be married or they will be thrown into hell cuss they desire one anouther like the beast. Ever heard of animal instincts for one another. Marraige is not in heaven cuss the beast was thrown out of heaven. Now that I have spoken about the beast....there has to be anouther way, a way apostle Paul never thought about neither do the rest of u,,,a Godly way to have sex or to desire one another.....but u only desire her...witch means gents u can be around lots of naked woman and u would only have eye's for her, you would not even be tempted, cus u r no longer a slave of the flesh. What do u think..? This is love to me with sex. This can only be done meraculesly. Is this the power of God that is shown to me?
