Let's see: genetic engineering, global warming (wouldn't have happened without electricity), disasters of war (Hiroshima etc.), nuclear contamination, threat to the ozone layer, animal experimentation, human experimentation in Nazi concentration camps, etc etc...

Is it because science doesn't have any values outside itself? That it doesn't have a sense of reverence for nature because it doesn't know what reverence is?

These are things that me and fellow Christian brothers need to know because we don't want to cause our sister to lust.

Women, please share your thoughts, it would help much

.
God of Genesis had killed so many people ( I believe some were children whom were sinless ) in Noah Flood.

At the same time, He said, Thou shall not kill.

Please don't answer my question with fable or God not exist. I am assuming 100 % here that God of Genesis is exist.

you are conveniently 'covered' by a 'go to heaven free' card because you are not old enough to understand. What age limit does god put on this?!! Are you people for real? The rules to keep up the delusion are simply 'made up' along the way as new people question the nonsensicalness of your faith. Does anybody else see this?

How many of my fellow Catholics here agree that for some reason or another it seems to be acceptable to bash our religion. It seems to me that if people make a comment about anyother religion it is condemned (i.e. Judaism, Islam) but Catholicism is fair game. A few examples are comments made by Rosie on The Veiw, books like da vinci code and news reports like "the tomb of jesus" coming out during lent, art being exibited depicting our blessed mother covered in feces and a crucifix upside down in a jar urine and an image of Christ on the cross with his genitals exposed. Would you ever see this with other religions sacred symbols for the sake of "art" or "entertainment"? Would you see books and news stories that attempt to invalidate any other religion come out during their holy times of the year? I'm tired of my religion being bashed. I feel anyone who attempts to knock my religion is in league with the nazis for their prejudice.

If a baby dies at birth will it go to hell as it has not accepted the lord? If this is so it means that until you are old enough to understand the brainwashing you are at risk of going to hell at anytime?

I walked downstairs in my living room to watch tv right. But somthing caught my eye. I looked back at it and it was a white cat looking straight at me. like it knew i was gunna walk downstairs to be able to see it. I felt as if it wanted to know it was there. Is it a sign of good? or can it be bad???after looking at it straight in the eye .i felt so differnt. it's unexplainitory i guess. i ended up scaring it away. but i think i should of tried to make peace rather than just be scared of it

i hope it wasnt somthing of the devil and i also hope i didnt scare away something that could of been a sign of god. at first i felt sort of amazed. then i actually felt comforted..

If i was in court for a small offence and my defence was "god told me to speed up the motorway at 130mph" i would be carried off to the looney bin for hearing voices. So the law is God does not exist .....

did you find that by the time you reached adulthood, you became desensitised to its teachings?

Even though it is still ingrained in me to a certain extent, every time I hear quotes and passages, I think to myself 'yeah, yeah, blah blah heard it all before'.

I can't help but wonder if I would have the same blaze attitude if I converted as an adult, rather than a child.

I'd be grateful to hear your experiences. Thank you.

What the hell does that mean?

Well the way I see it I think it means that you can think and do and be anything you want to do in life.

either

Bad

or

Good

Being atheist is doing whatever you want to do.

This has to be true if Atheism is not a religion then every single atheist can have different idea's and moral's on how to live their lives.

This has to be true.
