Can anyone speak on the importance of ALL (or most) christian denominations in our current society?

I have always thought that even if the catholic ways are the most right and complete, everyone has their place in the universal church, even if it is in another denomination.

It seems that everywhere I go, theres a christian knocking a christian, and them knocking another. How are we all suposed to be "one body" if we're always fighting amongst ourselfs?

Is there any hope of removing the barriers between denominations so that all christians can come together?

This might be a hard one for the Christian believer to want to examine... But as a Christian myself, I can see that over time, some institutions have leaned towards a "blaming" of the Jews for the death of Christ, even though prophecy states clearly that it was pre-destined to happen in the manner that it did.

According to Deutoronomy 22:20-21 we should stone women if they aren't virgins. Christians, your all-loving God wants us to kill wives if they aren't virgins. Do you believe that this makes sense, considering that God is supposed to be all-loving and merciful?

I've heard of some differences like:
-LCMS believes that there are errors in the Bible, WELS says there are None.
-Women in LCMS are given authoritative positions over men. WELS doesn't allow that at all.
-LCMS prays with people of other various beliefs, WELS does not.

are those true? what are some other differences? there has to be more than that....is that why the 2 split?

I just wondered, if anyone, like I did this week, found the power of a faith in Jesus, and do not need to see a god to believe.

Shmyrna is homeschooled and I read the Bible to her 40 times a day, EVERY day. And yet when I tell her to look up a verse or show me how well she can read Leviticus she just lays there defiantly, refusing to read.

How can I direct her away from this obvious obstinance and make her read?

He made me thing love is something unmanly. But how do you think my relationship with my earthly father, will effect my relationship with my heavenly father>

I'm a Christian, and would just like to make sure i know what you ladies are talking about. I've heard/read in the past that they are necessarily the same. What do you Wiccans say?
I'm not interested in bashing you, just curious about what actual practioners have to say.

I try to be, but it doesn't always work. There are just some things I refuse to accept. What can I say? I'm human. I try to keep my myself open to the possibilites but it's hard, especially as a Catholic! I love my faith and I wouldn't ever wander into a different form of faith. It's party of who I am. Why would I want to change that but it is very diffcult to live up to the standards.
