It amazes me that you do not know how the universe began but think that the concept of a god(s) is insane.

I understand how you do not want to believe in certain G(g)od(s) but is the idea of a supreme being really that far fecthed?

I am not a vindictive person nor am I a gossipper but as a christian I want friends so much that I have very open with people like today I said something that maybe I should have waited on until I go to know the person. The state I now live in are very polite to your face but if you are different or maybe slow or not like everyone else people take advantage in word and deed of you and behind your back they twist the knife meaning backstab you and say mean things about you when you are not around, I know this has happened in regard to some things so I watch my back carefully.

My question as a woman who tries to be godly is what are good ways to be friendly outgoing and social and kind and respect myself WITHOUT saying way too much or talking so much about personal things that can and may be used against me?

What are the lessons you have learned in regard to this and how did this help you in your walk with the Lord?

My husband and I are new to the San Diego area and are looking for a good church to go to. We like nondenominational, "mega" churches (i.e. very large). I am not having much luck finding one online.

I know and understand that the word Rapture is not in the Bible, what I would like to know is where the word came from. In a way it fits the Second of Christ and all, we will get rapture up to meet Jesus in the sky. But I always have heard it and used it even though I know its not in the Bible. So please if anyone knows where it came from let me know.all welcome to answer.
