Of course we should. For Christmas, my kids would kill me if I didn't open up the checkbook. As for Easter, Reese's and Cadbury's Peanut Butter Eggs are a nice change from the all too small cups (or the ridiculously small Halloween version). Peeps, on the other hand, are an abomination.

Why not? Both Easter and Christmas have their origins in pagan beliefs anyway. The real question should be should christians celebrate Easter and Christmas?

Do you think christians know that the easter bunny and easter eggs have nothing to do with jesus christ? Do you think christians know that jesus christ was not born in December?

No they shouldn't. Christianity is okay with them when they think it's fun. They've even tried to make it okay by saying Christmas and Easter are old pagan festivals. This is a lie!

Neither actually are christian holidays, and people have been leaving out the Norse aspect, for example, so why not leave out the christian part too. btw, you could just celebrate them without the christian aspect, like my atheist parents did with me and my brothers, and tell them about the christian aspects when they are old enough to understand.

No, why should they? And, from what you wrote, why should you?

Obviously, you are aware that these two times of the year are very special to Christians. So, is this your way of poking fun at us?

As a religious holiday? Why bother. If however, someone is willing to give you a holiday, especially with pay why turn it down?

it's just a holiday now, like halloween and valentines day. What it once meant, it doesn't really mean all that anymore unless you make a point to make it mean that.
