Well, if I ever fail to believe in myself, I am sure I could bump my head on something to reaffirm my faith...

If you didn't believe in your self who would you believe in? And I am a person who believes in a Higher power no matter what you call it. But face it if you don't have a belief in yourself than you would find it very hard to deal with other people. How could you trust your self to know how to deal with different situations? How could you trust yourself to know when there were situations that you should be aware of?? If you didn't believe in yourself how could you trust yourself to do what was best for your children and your family?? You wouldn't be able to make any really important decisions about your life or the life of any other members of you family. So when you think that you don't believe in yourself think about when you make decisions that affect other people do you make them with out questioning every move that you make and if you don't than think about what that means.

Well, yes, because if I can't believe myself, then nothing can be real. I am the only thing I can be sure of; my existence is the only thing I can prove to myself. And if I cannot believe my senses and reasoning, then there is nothing that I can trust. If I can't be sure of my own ability, then I don't see a reason to try anything at all.
Doubting yourself brings unjustified pain; believing in yourself gives you a chance to be both right and happy. And failing that, happy.
