a person who doesn't believe in God, be it for any reason, but believes in the 5 basic principles of life i.e Sathya(truth), Dharma (righteousness), shanti ( peace), prema ( love), ahimsa ( non-violence), is better than the people who believe in God, yet they dont fulfil their duties or don't follow these principles?
Thanx for answering, :)

There was this person who believed only what he could see, according to him, his duties were his priority, he said that it would be better for people to spend their valuable time in the service of people and in fulfilling their duties than to take the name of God, who could not be seen.
Well, i'm not supporting Atheists, but i want to know if he is on the right path.
Coz, God loves those who do their duties.

My dear people I always stress on acquiring Knowledge, Knowledge is power, knowledge is Bliss.
There is no difference in believing God and following principles of religion.
Person who believes god has to follow what god has preached, God preached Sathya(truth), Dharma (righteousness), shanti ( peace), prema ( love), ahimsa ( non-violence). So a true devotee of god will be following these principles.
And coming to the one who does not believe god but follows the principles is no difference from a true devotee of God.
And when these two persons dont fulfil their duties and follow principles they are same in front of God and they will be punished in the same way.
Dont you know that Demon Ravana of Mahabharat was the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva but he did not followed one of the five principles, he was punished by God so I think you got it right.

Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love, and Non-violence are all qualities of God. God shares these with man. Without a firm unshakable belief in God, these five principles are only a belief.
It is this belief in God that allows these qualities to be impressed into mans heart, and made manifest into the world.
"Believe in God, and all these things shall be added unto you!"
This is the true duty of a real human being!
Without this firm belief in God, these principles are like a house built upon sand! A house constructed on sand will not endure the test of time.

Yes, I think that a person like that is loved by God very greatly! Even though they do not believe in God, I think God understands, because God sees into their mind, and He surely understands why it is hard for their logical mind to believe in the Unseen. As long as they are helping others, living a life of truth, righteousness, peace, love and non-violence, I believe they are on the right path. If someone says they believe in God, but does not follow these duties, what good is their belief in God doing for them or for others? I think a sincere devotion to God leads one to live by those good principles. But mere belief does not necessarily do so. At least the non-believer is devoted to the good principles. In a way, he IS devoted to God, even if he does not see it that way, because he is doing what God would want.

Well I think Each and every person who is born is borned for same purpose as everybody which worship of GOD .... The life we live is a basic cycle of our living ...... If a person believes in different thing mentioned above cant the basic purpose of life they dont believe in their own moral principles.. If we follow a particular religion we can live our life in a very systematic way as the system in every religion is accurate... But if people dont beleive in god make their own principles, moral;s etc.. they will not be able to follow them cause its their own creation.... But these morals of their own are written in the religious books.... So I belive the person cant live without the goal in our life..i.e. GOD, Heaven or Hell....

If you are a true follower of the 5 principles it matters little whether you are a theist or atheist. You would have gone beyond engaging in such debates.
I feel atheism is nearer to that stage.

In my opinion God is the total sum of all energy and all awareness. One might say, "alright, God is the word for everything. That makes sense. But can God think?"
Well, We can think. We are within the body of God. It would follow that the Almighty is a thinking being, but there may be very wise reasons why we are not always sure if he's around.
Be blessed.

Atheist are class of people who dont believe in things blindly. They are people who have seen so many hypocrites who call themselves are God men.
Athiest do have human values. Human values are superior to hypocracy. God allowed them to exist to put a check on hypocracy.
God accept them as a great devotee and even reveal himself to them if they are devoted to Humanity.

I personally don't think belief in God makes you good or bad. I just asked my eight year old son this question and he said 'belief in God is ten % better'. I guess I need to expose him to a few more belief and non-belief systems, he's young.
