As a Catholic, I am strongly encouraged to stick to my faith. And I do for the most part. However, I also follow my heart and my instincts and they both encourage me to understanding to my fellow human beings. I don't have it in me to be cruel to anyone. That doesn't mean I don't stick up for what I believe in but with understanding comes peace ad unity. We don't have to accept other beliefs as our own but we do have to love and respect one another. How else are we fit to do God's work and call ourselves His followers!

Yes, we are all parts of the same body, The majority of the fighting on here is people defending their faith against attacks but this is the faith that has been given to them. A foot does not have the same function as the hand so each part of the body has been given what it needs. The Catholic is always ridiculed for it's belief by other denominations but very seldom if ever have I seen a Catholic go on the offense against a Protestant's belief's unless they were just defending their own. I believe people in a Protestant denomination will be at the wedding banquet at the end of time because of their faith in Jesus but, they do not like the fact that Catholics are there now. They could join us if they wanted as they are invited now too but that is up to them. I hope to see them all there eventually though and maybe we will laugh.

I don't feel this board reflects how most Christians feel. We have some nuts on this board. We also have some people I believe are trying to stir the pot, setting one group against another. Before a person is to quick too respond, they should look at the person's profile, the answers and the questions they have there.

With God, all things are possible.
"The Catholic Church embraces with hope the commitment to ecumenism as a duty of the Christian conscience enlightened by faith and guided by love…Jesus himself, at the hour of his Passion, prayed 'that they may all be one' (John 17:21)." -- Pope John Paul II, Ut Unum Sint, May 25, 1995.
The Catholic Church already has the following open dialogs with her sister Churches:
- The North American Orthodox-Catholic Theological Consultation
- The Joint Committee of Orthodox and Catholic Bishops
- The Oriental Orthodox-Roman Catholic Consultation
- The Polish National Catholic-Roman Catholic Dialogue
- The Anglican-Roman Catholic Consultation USA
- The Lutheran-Catholic Dialogue
- Roman Catholic-Reformed Consultation
- The United Methodist-Catholic Dialogue
- Southern Baptist Convention-Catholic Dialogue
- The Evangelical-Catholic Dialogue
- Faith and Order Commission, National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA
- Consultation with the National Council of Synagogues
- Consultation with the Orthodox Union and the Rabbinical Council of America
Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):
By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.
With love in Christ.

I believe each religion is based on "truth".....you just have to get around the "stuff" that man injects that's meaningless.
I believe each religion is like a dress in different colors.
