What the hell does that mean?

Well the way I see it I think it means that you can think and do and be anything you want to do in life.

either

Bad

or

Good

Being atheist is doing whatever you want to do.

This has to be true if Atheism is not a religion then every single atheist can have different idea's and moral's on how to live their lives.

This has to be true.

"Being atheist is doing whatever you want to do."

No, it isn't.

It does not "have to be true" - you're just unable to imagine anything other than what you were raised with. Things aren't "right" and "wrong" just because you might get caught - morality is absolute, and very real.

I know that's hard to understand when you've been raised in the "it's only right and wrong because 'god' says so" tradition, but it's the fact of the matter. Atheism does not imply amorality.

We've told you this now several times. Are you moral enough to accept it, or are you going to go on pretending never to have heard it? Just how desperate are you to defend your belief system against reality?
================
Sentinel, that's just an outright lie. Is that how your "god" tells you to behave? He wants you to lie for him? You've been caught telling that same lie quite a few times in the past - it's really starting to look as though that kind of behavior is deeply a part of you.

Hopefully you have the strength of character to understand and accept the consequences of your actions.
Religion seems to be engineered for those who haven't enough sense to be able to tell right from wrong.
That is why the religious need constant reminders that murder is not nice, that lying and stealing are not good.
You know, all the stuff that anybody who has ever lived around other people takes for granted.

EDIT:
Sentinel makes a very serious mistake because sentinel think that he can read minds. I have no idea why or where sentinel gets this idea of atheism simply being about rebellion from. It is total nonsense. Maybe he heard it from his preacher.
It is not possible to rebel against something that does not exist. God does not exist. Take it from there.

On this earth we are all influenced by the general situation, by all the different ideas and so on

to be a free-thinker means for me just that you elaborate all the inputs you receive in your opinion, free opinion
better if is prooved by real experience than just ideas

a non-free thinker is someone that blindly believe in what others tell him, even out of fantasy.....

Many people think that to be a good person one should be religious: but are you able to see how much sofference and wars exhisted in the name of religions?????

To be an atheist does not means you can do bad or be bad because you have no-one to judge you, the judgement comes from life itself and from others our brothers
Atheists are very peaceful and ethically correct people in general

yes, every single atheist has different ideas and morals to live their life. The only thing in common is a disbelief of god. Do you think you understand now? And christians do the same thing.

Every single person, atheist or believer, has the ability to think and do and be anything he or she wants to do in life, either good or bad.

If believers can get God's forgiveness at any time, then believers must also be able to do whatever they want to do.

Morality is not about belief or disbelief in a deity, it's about compassion for other people.

Being atheist means being able to live a good life without the need for reward by a god who demands worship and without the fear of not appeasing him

The problem for Atheists is that in weighing up the concept of God they find that they have to tow the line and be subject to His moral laws, and this is not too attractive to rebels now is it, yes indeed Atheism is nothing but open rebellion and it lacks the backbone to follow a God Who is both merciful and totally just.
Freedom of choice is not the ability to do whatever you want if that was true then society would be in anarchy,no freedom is the ability to do what you should in a moral attitude.

FYI:
There are basic rules for the life in and of a society.
Some people need a religion to follow them and a deity to judge their deeds.
Atheists follow the same rules but are responsible to themselves for their life.

Tell me who has chosen the easier way!

Uh, right.. Free thinkers don't "do whatever they want". Free thinkers do what they believe without the shade of a religion telling them what they should do. If you can't think without your religion guiding you then I really feel sorry for you..
