Well, it's a rude thing to say, but the first amendment applies to everyone. As far as I know, the "right to be rude" applies to everyone. Telling people to go to hell is not a special privilege for religious folks only. This is America. Ever seen the bumper sticker "It's YOUR hell, YOU go there" ? This doesn't mean the person necessarily believes in hell, I think it just means quit badgering me with YOUR fantasies about hell.

Why, can't I as a Southerner curse people by telling them to go to up North to Michigan? ;)
Honestly, you do realize that "Hell" is not an original invention of Christianity. You people stole it from the Norse. Hel was the Goddess of the underworld.

No! I don't think that atheists should be allowed to say that. If they say that and mean it then they aren't atheists. If you believe in hell then you believe in the devil and that leads to believing in GOD who bannished the devil from Heaven. A person would be half stepping by doing that. If they are a true atheists then why would they then speak of something that they do not believe in?

I'm still trying to define exactly what an Atheist is? If it is a person who does not believe in anything being created, then they would be surrounded with absolutely nothing! In fact even 'they' would not exist! Because even matter has to be created! Therefore, for them to exist in the present world as we know it, then they'd have to be created! at least something or someone created the matter that they came from. Am I right or wrong? Have a good day.
