No they are not brain damaged....well maybe some are but I think we should live and let live. We are the watchmen, when we see the sword coming upon the land, we should blow the trumpet and warn the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning, his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning shall save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will be required at the watchman's hand says, "The Lord"

Our culture likes to make Jesus look like a peaceful man that only taught love and forgiveness. They overlook the fact that he said he's a God of war. The Book of Revelations has him spitting a sword out of his mouth while he throws nonbelievers in Hell.

If one takes only one verse of Scripture and reads no others in the same chapter, he almost always gets the wrong interpretation....time after time. Read the verses before and after this one. He is relating the results of what happens to people who follow him will be. God bless.

Yep. The verse is talking about the results (what will happen) of Jesus' coming, rather than purpose (what he desires to happen).

You obviously don't understand the context of this.

If it were the literal words you see, we Christians would make radical Muslims look like boy scouts.
