Since when did Paris Hilton qualify as a free thinker? Since never. Of course, she may have figured out that playing the 'religion card' can be useful in fooling the narrow-minded into believing that she's actually done something and changed.

Some people do have to hit rock bottom to realize they need God. I don't think she has hit rock bottom yet. Time will tell if she is serious, but it would be hard to completely change. She would need to stay out of the Hollywood scene and she may not be willing to do that.

Many people find jesus in prison - and leave him behind when they are released.
Some of them really are rock bottom but some of them want to give the impression that they've been born again or changed - as if anyone would fall for that, and as if it would make any difference to their sentence.

Soul AND Spirit? I wasnt aware both existed independant of one another. And, Ive got news - you were sent to jail for violating probation, not because your soul didnt like the way it was being viewed.

When people get scared, they look for God. I just hope she doesn't get sucked in by the Scientology nonsense, but I really don't think she has the common sense to avoid it. We're not talking a great intelligence here. She has what scientology is looking for, money.

If she found God, why doesn't she gives some of her money to something worthwhile? After all she loves money so much (remember the tape?) that would show she is serious.
