I'm currently reading the In the Book of Mormon (for knowledge sake not religious enlightenment) and according to 2 Nephi 2, Eve partekes of the Apple from the "Tree of Knowledge" knowing full well the consequences of actually eating it, doesn't this show inclination towards already having knowledge?

The Bible reads for gays like Hitler's Mein Kampf reads for the Jews, but if J.A. is right in the quote that follows here where is the Bible scripture that condemns these other abusive sex acts he mentions and why aren't they so popular with Christian paste artists?. (note: transvestism is not a sex act in itself)

J.A. says:"Taboos serve to minimize and marginalize certain types of undesirable behavior. Pediaphilia (pedophilia) has its advocates too. So does bestiality, necrophilia, transvestitism, exhibitionism, masochism, etc. Are we to give them our blessings? Of course not! Those taboos stand for now and so should the taboo against homosexuality."

I have read Quran with its meaning. I have studies few Tafseerul Quran by renowned scholars. No one could specify the totality, its origin, the word spoken in those days in the territory where Quranic verses were blessed. Yet I am inquisitive to know the meaning of this word Alif Laam Meem. Was it a title to address holy prophet Mohammad (pbuh), was it a name given to him by Allah to Mohammad or by Gabriel, was it a way in that society to address some one in those days or was it a nick name given by Him to HIS beloved prophet Mohammad? I remember studying somewhere a scholar travelled to that part of the world to find the meanings of this one word, living in small villages and enquiring the elders but failed to gather that this word was ever used in their slang language in olden days. May be you could enlighten me to its deterimental meanings with its references in details to go further to find more books in this context. Thanks.

I am asking this because I know someone who thinks this way, and I was wondering if they can be regarded as Christian?

How does war agree with "Thou Shalt Not Kill"?

No where in the Bible does it say there is an exception to the rule for war ...

Or is war only "OKAY" in gods eyes when he "TELLS" the leader to go to war ( what if the leader is not religious but the war is morally right i.e WWII & American Revolution ).....? if not, isn't EVERYONE in Iraq and people that were in wars throughtout history who killed people going to be or are burning in hell?

If a person were to ask me my religion, I wouldn't know what to say. I believe in A God..as in a higher power. I don't believe in christianity or catholic stuff cause I feel they've been to "tampered" with over time. I believe in the "do unto others" thing. I don't do prayers...I feel that things are pre-destined.
I don't feel any urge to worship anything/anyone. But I feel that I'm a nice guy, but is it necessary to have/claim a religion?
I've always wondered what kinda "faith" I fit into.

As an Asian, I feel that this is a sensitive issue for me. I know that many Asian American churches are basically country clubs on Sundays. I also know that many Asian "Christians" (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) in North America are pretenders: they want the benefits of the gospel without taking on the demands of the gospel. You can see this in the way they live outside of church. However, Scripture clearly states that we should strive for "peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14). Instead, in many of these Asian American churches, I find a lot of bickering, dissension, gossip, factions, and jealousies. Not the type of attitude and behaviour that exhibit the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24). Does anyone here agree with me?

Im looking for personal answers as to why you particularly believe or not in some 'higher being/power' and what it is you believe in. I am opening this to all demnominations, no restrictions.

Please no lines of scriptures or personal attacks on others, I just want your own opinion and how you come to that realisation, your personal view. You can also mention how your belief has affected your life, postively and negatively.

This can be your forum for expressing yourself openly.

I personally have no particular strong beliefs, but am interesting in examining any spiritual paths, and what these mean for people.

Thanks for your input, Please Star this question if you think it's an important discussion point.

How can Christains talk about Hindus and other religions that worship Idols and compare others to God when they compare a man (JESUS) to God and the holy spirit as well? They hold these 2 things right next to God. That is the same as idol worshiping! They even say "In Jesus christ we pray" They do everything through this man yet they bash us Muslims for having prophet Mohummad (saw) who we do not even worship, pray to, or anything else that would match him to God. I find Christainty to be very cult like. Even when I hear the things they say I am like are they serious? They think it is ok to drink, and have pre-marital sex, do drugs, smoke, lie, steal, cheat. Bc even though its against their religion and wait its in the BIBLE as well that this is sins but thats ok they really dont care that much right? They preach but dont practice. But yet the other religions who do practice their religion as they should are extremist or weird. I
