oh yes. After all it was He who gave man the gifts to do those works. Think of a child's crayon drawing of his family. I'm sure God smiles at that. Think of the first light bulb. I'm sure God was pleased.

See James 2:26 " Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." The converse is also true -- works without faith is also dead.

No. According to the Bible and extra-biblical texts like the"Book of Enoch", the works of men are as filthy rags, and mankind recieved its "civilisation" from devils and their offspring, the Nephilim - the 'great men of renown'. TheGreat Flood was meant to destroy the Nephilim - and the harrowing of mankind was a sideshow because they were too noisy and too clever for the Powers that Be.
