Because The Lord Jesus (God) made us all. So if you say i love u to your neighbour it is like saying that to every one cause we are all brothers and sisters and the Lord is our father.

Love is universal.... When it is focused on ones spouse it is called romance... When it is from parents to the child it is called parental love... When it is from master to disciple, it is called guru bhakthi, when it is between friends, it is called friendship.. when it is on God it is called divine love or bhakthi....
The love being the same....
That is maybe why Jesus said... Loving your neighbour is the same as loving your GOD>>>
