Consider the following Scripture:

Romans 9:13 (New International Version)

13Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

Because flesh and bone cannot enter heaven so we must be born again of the spirit in our new glorified bodies... right?

The Iraqis sure think that God is backing them, and Bush definitely thinks he's cheering us on so who's right? I mean they can't both be. I'm just looking for a general idea because I guess the only way to know for sure is to see who ends up winning the war and who has their country down the shi**er. I really don't know because I'm an atheist but I'm curios about religious ideals. I really don't mean any offense by it.

seriously. I've heard many complaints on R&S that people are bothered by Mormons, JW's, and other religious persons knocking on their door all the time and 'shoving' their literature in their face. It sounds as though this is overly commonplace.

seriously now.... how many religions have knocked on your door in the past week ? the past month?

I'm transgendered (I think/act like a male). How does this make me a 'sinner'? I have been told many times that I can only repent for my 'sins' if I act like a girl and love boys.

However, it is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible that this is a sin. For that matter, 'homosexual' was not a word at the time it was written, and the Bible refers to a different practice outside of Christianity, so it had nothing to do with gay people, but that's beside the point.

Please explain to me what I have done 'wrong'.

My dad also does not believe it's necessary to be born again. I would like to understand. Here's the scripture that convinces me of my belief, for your reference.

John 3
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Therefore, I just asked this question but I did not get a good enough answer. This time I am going to reword it and attempt to filter out all of the irrelevant non-sense. I want an actual relevant answer to this question, please do not post and answer that really does not answer the question.

I understand that the entire world does not agree with the bible. I do not have a problem with this particular fact. My problem is that many people (not all) who do not believe in Christianity disrespect the religion as if it is completely trash. Many people refuse to recognize that there is some wisdom in the bible. I am Christian but I do see the good in other religions. Karma is not a Christian idea but it is still a wise one. The same goes for ideas in many other religions. AS for Jesus, he was a liberal for his time. He was anti violent. (See other question for example... and no, it is not referring to Islam)
I am a liberal democrat who is by no means trying to convert society.

As a Christian, I've never met single one in my entire life. They don't go to my church, they don't live in my community, I've never bumped into one at the mall, I've never seen them on TV, or heard them on the radio. So, where are they all? Perhaps, they are just a figment of the imaginary and delusional minds of atheists, liberals, humanists, etc.?

Lets just say 500 years from now, science isolates the gene that regulates "religion".
Lets suppose hospitals mandated all mothers must have this vaccine to prevent their unborn from developing religious experiences.
Would you take it?
I predict A Sam Harris will one day find the cure for religion through eugenics.
What a jolly old time I will have.
No more stupid under god or money grubbing churches.
FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS BROUGHT PEACE TO CIVILATION!!!

This surprisingly common argument reflects several levels of ignorance about evolution. The first mistake is that evolution does not teach that humans descended from monkeys; it states that both have a common ancestor.

The deeper error is that this objection is tantamount to asking, "If children descended from adults, why are there still adults?" New species evolve by splintering off from established ones, when populations of organisms become isolated from the main branch of their family and acquire sufficient differences to remain forever distinct. The parent species may survive indefinitely thereafter, or it may become extinct.

There is now NO REASON for you to make this ignorant statement EVER AGAIN..!
But will you..??

After a series of silly and irrelevant events following a party, a former acquaintance of mine was talking to my best friend. This former acquaintance said about me, "I can't be friends with her, anyway. She's an atheist or something. And I'm a Catholic."

I've been puzzling over this for some time now. Personally, I think she was unable to be an adult and look me in the face about those irrelevant events I spoke of. However, it seemed amusing to me that someone would use their religious belief in such a manner.

What's even funnier to me is that I'm not an atheist. I'm agnostic. But she seems to think there's no difference. Or that we're all the same. Or maybe she doesn't know the difference.

As I'm unable (and maybe a little unwilling) to contact her myself, can someone please explain this logic to me? Why do some people feel that friendships cannot happen between people with different beliefs? And if that wasn't her motivation, why would anyone use their beliefs in such a manner?

Adam and Eve were the line of people leading to Jesus and the line of Cain being the line that leads to the anti christ? I was thinking of the way some people looked, CroMagnum and Neanerthal Man. The line of Cain was destroyed in the flood of Noah's time but how much of their blood was in the wives of Noah's sons? Skeletons could have been left from that time. After all we are still finding dinosaur bones and fossils to testify to their existence and they were destroyed before Adam and Eve and the animals of the new time were created. The Bible says in Genesis, "replenish".
