I'm transgendered (I think/act like a male). How does this make me a 'sinner'? I have been told many times that I can only repent for my 'sins' if I act like a girl and love boys.

However, it is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible that this is a sin. For that matter, 'homosexual' was not a word at the time it was written, and the Bible refers to a different practice outside of Christianity, so it had nothing to do with gay people, but that's beside the point.

Please explain to me what I have done 'wrong'.

Without respect to specific matters, the Word of God says this:

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."

I John 1:8-10

Now the question is, what do you say?

Being transgendered does not make you a sinner. The actions you choose as a person do. God created you exactly the way he wanted you do be. He is giving you the test of life, he also never gives one more than they can handle. That being said if a woman lays with a man or a woman outside of the union of marriage they are sinning. If a person has looks at another in lust other than their spouse they are committing adultery of the heart. Christians sin every day,b\ but the beautiful thing is Jesus Christ paid your bill he died a horrible death that he new was coming so that on day we all can stand at the hand of the Father. Even transgendered. So when you pray at night you ask for forgiveness from the sins you have willfully committed and not of who you are. Jesus loves you God Bless

If you are female and think and act like a male, you may need to go get hormone therapy. Sometimes, you can get female hormone shots like the people who are waiting for their surgery for a sex change. One birth defect is like another. Some are fixable and some are not. As far as sin goes. We are all sinners. We must turn our lives over to Jesus to be saved. The Bible does speak against sexual immorality in all of its types. Read a Bible that has a concordance. That way you will know what is related to homosexuality.
By the way, have you had a blood test to determine if you have xy chromosomes or xx?

Heres's my answer for better or worse!
People are evil because we have the adam nature, which seeks selfrightousness over God's righteousness. When people accept Jesus in their heart, the Holy Spirit comes to live in their bodies, and they get the new one which is Jesus nature.
God had names for people in the bible who rebelled against Him,modern day names do not negate them
There's no such thing as transgendered, you have a demon in your body, just like gays do,and alcoholics or hard core drug user's do, excetra.
To get rid of this demon you'd have to go to a mature christian that walks in the light and hold Jesus as Lord! You can tell who these christian's are because they're always reading the bible, always go to bible studys and church, and are always talking about Jesus-who actually told parables about this, when a person has the light in them, they can't keep it hid,and you'd know them by these fruits of expressing Jesus!
This christian is the only kind that has power with God,and can cast the demon out in Jesus name! But,if your not a christian already you will have to become one.Yes,God will hear you if you come to Him with sincere heart,He said so in many different parts of the bible.Once you become a christian by believing on Jesus, repenting of sin,and accepting Jesus as Lord. You become God's child!

Okay, granted, there was no word such as homosexual at that time; however, it is spoken and talked about in the Bible!!

Have you heard of Sodom and Gomorrah? The two cities who were practicing homosexuality and all manner of sexual acts? Have you heard of Lot, who lived there and begged God to not destroy these because of the "wickedness.?" If not then please read: Genesis Chapter 13 and you will not need answers from here.

I sincerely hope you find the truth for your question in the above mentioned writing. Best wishes on your plight.

Get a new religion like Unitarian Universalists and dump the old crowd. You are as good as you allow yourself to be and hanging around with people who don't care how you feel shouldn't be allowed to mess with your mind!

The only thing wrong is that you were born in the 20th Century that isn't anymore evolved then when the first Bible hit the presses. Now that we are in the 21st Century I have only one question. Where is my flying car?

Good people make you feel bad, while bad people don't care how you feel. Stick with the good ones and tell the rest of the world to bite your male like hiney!

We live in a world were people forget sometimes that we can express ourselves in ways that some people don't get/understand. We live in a world of traditionalists and pro-this/pro-that/anti-this/anti-that that they think is the truth and everything else is wrong. I am a religious moderate and I believe that it's not our place to judge -- it's God's place. We were not placed on this earth to do His dirty work by pointing fingers and saying that people are sinners and whatnot. There are passages in the Bible saying that homosexuality is wrong, yes, but what authority do we have to act out of line? I know its our First Amendment right to express ourselves like I mentioned in my opening statement. It's not your fault. It's the way you are and the best thing to do is for people to except you.

Hmm. Tough question for me to answer.

I am a liberal Christian that supports gay/transgender/etc. rights, but I have a different view of what is socially acceptable and what is acceptable in Christianity.

In greater society, you should be accepted as having done nothing wrong. You were born this way and there is nothing you can change about it.

As a Christian, homosexuality is a sin. The bible speaks of the Romans as being corrupt in all ways. The Romans were very well known for their lack of sexual inhibition. The story of Soddom and Gomarrah is likely to allude to homosexuality.

Leviticus 18:22-23 specifically says "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."

I'm sorry that you have these issues. Its my belief that there is absolutely nothing wrong with how you want to live your life, but God will not see it that way. God gives everyone a cross to bear, something that tempts them. There are Christians that have the urge to murder, to be pedophiles, to sell drugs, to steal, to cheat others out of money, etc... Being a Christian is about weighing what you want with what God wants.

If you think you would be happier out of Christian society and be fully accepted as who you are, then go for it. If you can find a church (there are some) that will accept homosexuals and transgenders, I would stongly encourage it.

"But Godliness with contentment is great gain."
1 Timothy 6:6

I was always taught that God doesn't make mistakes. I might tend to agree with you, BUT...
What happens if your "soul-mate" for life is a guy that acts just the opposite of you?

I actually know a couple like that. The wife is very male oriented in all she does, and the husband could easily be taken for a flamer (no offense, merely descriptive.). But each likes the opposite gender sexually. They're quite compatible, and find great comfort in their relationship, and are still able to live according to God's Word.

First I want you to know two things I am a Christian, and I love you. What I am about to tell you, you may disagree with and that is okay, but if you truely want the answer to your question you will have to research it for yourself. All I can do is help guide you.

First of all, what makes you a sinner? The answer.... you were born. Thats it end of story. Man/woman has a sin nature and just by being born makes you a sinner.

Secondly.... Homosexuality is a sin, so is beating your wife, your kids, stealing, killing, smoking, ect ect you know what sin is. What make homosexuality so wrong is that there is documented case where God destroyed two cities because of the sin. Sodum and Gomarah. ( I cant spell and it wont take you long to figure that out) It is the story of Lot you will find that story in the book of Genisis. Homosexuality is also referred to in the book of Romans.

It is not for me to judge you, it is my job to present Christ to you and let the Holy SPirit take over. Christ was born of a virgin and lived on this earth 33 yrs, he was mocked beaten, and spit upon and eventually nailed to a cross for you and me. He died on that cross for us. He spent three days in the tomb, and I beleive he went to Hell, Because in order to conquer death Hell and the grave he had to go. He defeated death and the grave because he arose again, knowing this you must reasonably expect he spent time in Hell. Why did he do this? you ask. Christ was the fulfillment of the law ( old testiment) he was the perfect blood sacrifice. We nolonger have to have burnt offerings and blood sacrifices because Christ was the sacrifice.

Christ opened the door to God. He said no man comes unto the father accept by me. In the old testiment we had high preist that went before God (prayer) and got forgiveness for us. Since Christ did what he did it gave all believers the right to enter into the presence of God through prayer.

The Bible says if you "confess with your mouth that Christ is Lord and beleive in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved" romans 10.9 ( if memory serves)
"for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" " For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER should call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" John 3;16

If you believe what I told you to be true and you confess it , and repent ( or turn from ) God will save you too.

You cant loose your salvation, but it doesnt give you a ticket to live anyway you want to. You see once you are saved your works are for crowns and rewards in heven. If you repent and ask God to deliver you from your lifestyle he will.

I have said all that to say this. You will never be saved until you realize that you Just like me are a sinner. Once you realize what you are then and only then can you be saved.

I hope this helps you, I pray you will accept Christ as personal saviour and yes he does know you and he will get involved in your life on a personal level with you. But know this neither God nor Jesus will dwell where sin is. light and dark cannot mix. Spend the rest of the evening in the Bible getting answers to your question.

I love you in Jesus
May you find the narrow path
You cant do anything to be saved accept beleive
You dont change to be saved you get saved in order to change.
once your saved and heaven bound you just like me are a Christian/ sinner saved by grace
God dont save the flesh he saves the soul one day you will get a new body this one goes back to the dust of the earth.

God bless you dear
D

Gender or transgender, etc. is not what makes a person sinful. Rebelling against the laws of God is what makes a person sinful. All the laws of God can be summed up in two sentences:

This is the first and great commandment: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might.

And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
