If you could take a pill that gives u a 50% chance to evolve or die would you do it? why yes? why no? Yea i know this is from the show 4400, i just thought it would be interesting to ask this

Evolve into WHAT? Some dude with superpowers? A giant brain? The Brundle-Fly?
So apparently it has a 50% chance of killing me and a 50% chance of mutating me with totally unpredictable results... what sort of lunatic would take that?

I would have to say no.
There is no upside. To evolve would I assume mean to adapt to better fit into the environment. In the modern context, our environment is much more cultural than physical.
Based on culture right now, to become more attuned to it, I'd probably lose intelligence, become obsessed with the day to day lives of people who act in movies I can't imagine seeing, and constantly be on the lookout for someone to sue.

I always knew that show would be awesome if I took the time to watch it.
By evolve you mean like super powers or what not? Hmmm...Can't take it...Risk is not worth the potential reward.

I would ONLY if I hit rock bottom (i.e. if I lose my job, my money, my partner, etc.) That way if I evolve, I can start over! If I die then no more suffering!
Isn't life grand!

yes, i would do it because there's always room for improvement and because i think mankind needs to evolve now to save the planet and ourselves. you take chances everyday when you leave home so why not to choose your fate instead of waiting for it to happen.

i am to comfortable in my state evolved or not to risk dying
im sory i have to edit when scott b metionted controll over mushrom soup my mind went wild i would not only give my life but my enire famlys lives for control over cream of mushroom soup
