We don't know that heaven is on earth. So, we can not answer this question.

The physical heavens & earth were created perfectly, and these will be brought back to perfection, not destroyed.

"A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite." -- Ecclesiastes 1:4 http://watchtower.org/bible/ec/chapter_001.htm?bk=ec;chp=1;vs=4;citation#bk4

"But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell." --2 Peter 3:13 http://watchtower.org/bible/2pe/chapter_003.htm?bk=2pe;chp=3;vs=13;citation#bk13

Only those who refuse to support the new heavens & earth will be destroyed, along with manmade organizations who also work against God's purposes.

As far as the heavenly abode of Jehovah God--It existed before he began creating, & probably would not directly be affected if he did destroy earth, but he won't...

"For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited...'" http://watchtower.org/bible/isa/chapter_045.htm?bk=isa;chp=45;vs=18;citation#bk18

In the Bible, the terms can mean more than just the obvious... For instance, 'mountains' & 'heavens' can mean governments, while 'earth' & 'sea' can mean mankind. Thus, the "new heavens and a new earth" of righteousnes denotes a righteous heavenly government that will rule over a righteous human society on earth. In other words... Wicked human rulerships & human society will both be replaced by those that are truly righteous.)

the world only get cleansed if you read revelations from all the wicked ness and becomes like a sea of glass (a giant crystal). Why? (god always has a purpose) the explanation is a bit long to have here. In my fathers house there are many mansions (heavens /dwellings). Ancient languages had many meanings as does the word heavens. which are we talking about. The firmament? Or gods dwelling place?

Re 21:1 - Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.

Re 21:2 - And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a beautiful bride prepared for her husband.

God Bless You

Hi jonesy_ajones,

Great question!

If a tree falls in a forest & nobody’s around to see or hear it, did it really fall? Does something exist if nobody is around to perceive it? – e.g. ‘Sound is only sound if a person hears it’. “If no one is around to see, hear, touch or smell the tree, how could its existence occur?” (This same argument could also be directed toward God). “What is it to say that it exists when such an existence avoids all knowing?”

George Berkeley coined this: subjective idealism: ‘to be is to be perceived’. “Today metaphysicians are split. According to substance theory, a substance is distinct from its properties. According to bundle theory, an object is merely its sense data." Thus, the answer lies in whether you believe a thing’s existence is dependent on there being a perceiver

Most people do not understand the word god is not the name of anything other than a concept, an idea in people's minds.
— Thomas Vernon

When belief in a god dies, the god dies.

Heaven will still exist. However, we know from Scripture that there will be a NEW heaven and earth in the future when the Lord comes back (Revelation 21).

The world that the Bible says shall be destroyed is this system of things, not the earth. The heavens that Peter mentions refers to the ruling classes and governments, and the evil spirit forces that the Bible says are ruling the earth now.

2 Peter 3:6-7 7But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of the ungodly men. (DRC)
---------

This earth Eccl 1:4 says,4One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth standeth for ever. (DRC

Also, Isaiah 45:18 shows that God created the earth to be inhabited, and so it shall be.

All of the prophecies in regard to Christ's kingdom show that he and the Saints shall rule the earth.
Rev 5:10
Ps 72:2-8, justice: 2To judge thy people with justice, and thy poor with judgment. 3Let the mountains receive peace for the people: and the hills justice. 4He shall judge the poor of the people, and he shall save the children of the poor: and he shall humble the oppressor. 5And he shall continue with the sun, and before the moon, throughout all generations. 6He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth. 7In his days shall justice spring up, and abundance of peace, till the moon be taken sway. 8And he shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Dan 7:. 13I beheld therefore in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the Ancient of days: and they presented him before him. 14And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.
. 27And that the kingdom, and power, and the greatness of the kingdom, under the whole heaven, may be given to the people of the saints of the most High: whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all kings shall serve him, and shall obey him.

There is no if. The world will be destroyed. Heaven will remain Heaven ,but it will be even more glorious. The earth will be rebuilt by Jesus Christ ,and he will rebuild Jerusalem, The Holy City.

The bible says that heaven and earth shall pass away but god's word will stand forever. I think it's more a metaphore though

It would be destroyed too. Heaven can't survive without its creators.
