What do those who blindly support Israel have to say about this video? A video in which soldiers burst into a house, see an old man sitting down and shoot at him, see the man's wife run out to him and shoot her, then shoot a mother and young children. No reason, literally, no reason. What do those who are so blind they can't see what's in front of them have to say about this???

It's just too much to read questions and responses from ignorant people on these boards.

Are you a Good Samaritan? Umm...Probably not, since I'm not a Samaritan at all. They are an Arab / Semitic population in the Middle East.

Which one of the Churches in Revelation do you think you are? Umm.....None of them, since I'm not a resident of Asia Minor under Roman rule, the entire region is Muslim now and time travel isn't possible.

The historical and geographical ignorance of the Church is truly something to behold.

Does Jesus know that his 'Bride' isn't very bright?

i believe in God and think that if you desire to practice magick it has to come from a very personal and loving relationship with God. i just dont know how to go about learning the art of magick. where do i start? is it all in books? how do i know what books i can trust?

i think only the person who practices it can decide to use it for good or evil. i also believe that the bible was written by man and man put whatever they wanted into it and that is a reason it says magick is evil. it also says that women should serve men. and we all know thats not true. lol so please dont leave me answers if is going to be bible talk. these are my beliefs and i dont ask that u agree with them but please respect them.

If a dollar was given to charity every time someone brought up here:
Mary! The Pope! Sola scriptura! Those statues! Confession! XYZ denomination isn't Christian! We were here first! We're right and you're wrong!
-- really, I think we'd be able to feed a lot of hungry people, don't you? ("We", because I confess I have participated in this.)

Folks, the "reformation" that brought all of this about was 500 years ago. Right, wrong, or otherwise, it's the reality present-day Christians are living with. I'm not asking for a group hug; disagreement in points of doctrine and practice is inevitable. But in these times how can we justify perpetuating rancor by continuing to nail theses to each other's doors when the world sees us doing this and rightly wonders what's so great about being Christian? How much do you think our witness has suffered because of it?

I'm seeking thoughtful answers, not diatribes, and have no predefined "best" answer in mind.

I am not Catholic, but occasionally attend with my family for the benefit of the children. Today, the homily was about the danger of alienating people who are important to you. The sermon ended with a 40 minute lecture about dressing better for church, not taking communion if not married in the church, talking, leaving early, tithing issues, etc and etc. Doesn't this seem a little ironic considering the message of the homily? In the day when the Catholic church needs members, why alienate your existing members with a lecture (whether valid or not)?

Atheists are free to roam and fit in where they will.
Would you be spending eternity in Hell on Earth?

There are so many religions across the world. Every one thinks that only his or her religion is supreme and will ensure a berth in heaven or a good life after death. Mostly we do not have any choice in this regard and our religion is decisded by our birth. So which (if any particular) is best and in that case what about the followers of other religions. Can we say that all religions are man made and are based on the vision and imaginations of people based ontheir local area and context.

Our founding fathers were so Christian and all and I read in a response to a question that "slavery was ok according to the bible"
So what about killing the Indians was that ok too.
Sure our founding fathers were Christian and not part of a cult as you say?

p.s. I'm bringing my copy of Matthew Alper's "The God Part of the Brain." I was originally going to bring the Book of the Dead, but I was informed that one of my nephews will be christened after church, so I have to stay for that too, as well as the obligatory family dinner. I'd rather just go to the dinner, but a promise is a promise and since I'm going to be with them all day, I figured I'd do a little prosyletizing. Can't do that by offending people. You have to play nice. I figure once they see why other religions have spiritual experiences, from a rational standpoint, they may start to question if that's why they have theirs. Have a great day everyone!

Oh, yeah, almost forgot I need to ask a question. Okay, since I'm going to church today as agreed, even though I don't believe in god, and I'm sticking to my word, does that prove that atheists have morals that are not assigned to them by god through the bible?
