The fear of death is probably more of a fear of death being painful.

Fear of death is totally natural. Even we Christians fear it, in spite of the fact that we know what will happen.

When you stop identifying with your body-level learned identity and become the 'Observer' of your fears and attachments, you won't have to fear death. The death of the learned ego allows you to leave this physical experience of reality only when you are ready - nothing can happen without your willingness that it happen.

I think everyone fears the unknown. Even though we all have specific spiritual beliefs and religious views, I think the fear comes from the process and the transition...the not knowing.

Fear of death is very possible...if:
- God`s believer think they haven`t prepared well of getting rid of sins, or no bravery yet on their part in rejecting or avoiding sins...so, they`ll be punished and goes to hell.
- if people haven`t prepared well their beneficiaries documents for a well & safe guarded future for loved ones.
- if there`s nobody to trust for love ones, children`s or families wellfare if he died unprepared.
- fear of the unknown..what will happen to them specifically ?
- fear of pain, looks at time of death ? what happens to our beautiful body cells? the kind of worms finishings up every cell of the body.
- fear for his belief/ idealism/principles...whether right or wrong? & what happens next ? Is it too late for updates and corrections ?
- and... many more
