Or even a God of which we have no knowledge at all? I don't know, since this isn't a topic which I'm too interested in. But nothing in the idea of ID logically requires a Judeo/Christian God to do the designing. Interesting question. peace

You would think so.
But apparently, something was lost in the translation when he gave the information to the Bible writers.
"The earth ... shall be stable, that it be not moved." - It doesn't spin on its axis or travel about the sun. 1 Chronicles 16:30
If it was only "INSPIRED", and the authors wrote according to their vision of the world.
Then why do so many people believe that Noah flooded the entire World. Not just the world according to the author. But the entire "world".
You can't have it both ways.

What? I don't remember there being an explanation of the layout of the solar system in the Bible.
Christ didn't preach about science. He preached about the human condition.
Science and Christianity are not mutually exclusive.
Lets not forget that if God explained how he made the universe to humans in Genesis, it is distinctly possible that He explained it in terms they could understand. Would Moses, or anyone at that time or even earlier, have understood atoms? Physics? Molecular structure?
God would have to explain things in terms they could understand, or they might have to relate them to us in those terms.
P.S. What does 1st Chr. 16:30 have to do with this? Is this your personal interpretation?

I think God POSSIBLY created the universe.
I don't think any of us knows anything for sure. It is a certainty that the thousands of men who created the bible we have today had no idea about the universe, planets, dinosaurs, or evolution.

This is a sore subject; I am still traumatized that Pluto has been declared as not being worthy of being called a planet any more...sniff....

LoL...That will take them some time to figure out and explain! The only answer they can provide is "he knows"...that is because that question is too intellectual for the narrow mind.
You get a star for that one!!!

[Thou] shall stand in fire up to the navel and in ice up to th'heart, and there th'offending part burns and the deceiving part freezes
I am offended for you. Usually your vile bile is it a bit more thought out.
Is this really you or did one of your lower denizens clone you?

Just one more example of someone being unable to understand what the phrase "figurative language" means. But I suppose this hasn't embarrassed you before, so why should it start to do so now?

Could you possibly find a more trite criticism? Read a bit. And don't tell anyone to shut up, especially when you are just another troll excreting all over the board without allowing email.
