....and since a religion like christianity, as christians claimed, has all the answers, why do they openly solicit for answers even from atheists??

I'm sorry if my question caused christian respondents to be feeling uncomfortable with it.
It was not intended that way, but if that's how you feel about it, it further confirms my belief that a lot of christians are rather lumpen factually and have the tendency not to be able to control their emotions when anyone asks questions that they dislike being asked.
I don't just blab about anything without having had the experience before or doing any serious research or study into the subject. I respect Wolfeblayde's academic qualifications, but you should know of mine.
I have read a myriad of holy books, and that means I'm not an upstart bent on poking fun & hurling insults at religious people, let alone christians.
Look at all the answers from atheists in response to my question. They are really thought-provoking, no two-ways about it. They don't mince words.
Well, I guess I'd better recommend you a good read in Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion"
Read it with an open mind, mono.

The reason, of course, is that atheists are allowed to think. Christians are not allowed to think, and therefore thought-provoking answers would be a sign of work of the devil.

Contrary to the popular opinion here, not all Christians are "brainwashed" into a certain mind set and never go past its constraints. I have a Master's Degree in English, I enjoy reading and studying, and I was trained in formal logic. I do the necessary research to answer a question to the best of my ability, and I think I do a reasonably good job of giving well thought-out replies.
I also chose my religion after much studying and reading. My mother was a Christian, but she never accepted any religious belief at face-value. My dad is an agnostic, and he openly questions the existence of God. Their influence on my decision to become Catholic was non-existent. . .that was solely my choice, based on my own examination of the evidence for God and my preference of denominations.
And based on observation in this forum, I've found that what you call "though-provoking" answers from atheists tend to be more provocative than thoughtful. If there's a way to slip in an insult or mocking comment towards Christianity and Christians, some (not all) atheists around here have no hesitation about hurting others.
As far as "openly solicit(ing) for answers" from atheists, I can't say that I do. I'm more interested in an intelligent and well thought-out reply -- not the answerer's belief system or lack thereof. Again, based on my experience and observation, the ability to write and reason well are not solely the province of Christians, atheists, or any other group.

I think a sizeable portion of athiests have already observed many religions and come to terms with why they don't agree or believe in them. As an athiest, I would need a pretty good argument to convince me that Christianity (or any number of faiths) are the right path for me.
I've also found that I don't need faith in a religion to make me a good person. I already have a strong empathic side and often put my feet in other people's shoes. I abhor violence and seeing people (or creatures) suffer. I don't need religion to be the person that I am. But at the same time, I realize that there are many, many people that need their faith to be good people.
So as far as athiests go, the reason they can give thought-provoking answers to religious questions is because many ponder religion and try to understand it and why it doesn't work for them. Most athiests don't hate religion and find it rather fascinating. Some of my favorite movies are of a religious nature...I love the idea, but I don't believe in it for many different reasons.
And I commend any Christian that asks for answers, especially if they ask it of an athiest...because it means they are reaching out and want to understand my thought process as much as I want to understand theirs. Saying Christianity has all the answers just means it has all the answers to the important questions a Christian needs. It doesn't mean they can't learn plenty outside of it. I've learned plenty from Christianity, even if I don't practice the faith.

Those of us who have chosen, by one course of thought or another, not to accept the tenets of organized religion, have usually done so after a lot of serious reflection. Often we have read up on various religions, as well as non-theistic philosophy. The conclusions we have come to regarding our places in the universe are informed by the thoughts of many brilliant individualist thinkers. We didn't get where we are by believing in only one book, and then cherry picking our beliefs from that one book.
Many serious atheists have actually read the Bible with more attention to detail than many believers.
For myself, I have a non-theistic philosophy, largely influenced by Buddhism and Taoism; but I have spent many hundreds of hours discussing the nature of the world with both believers and non-believers.

careful the place you tread right here mate, the glass lays thickly in those components. permit's positioned it this way, if there has been actual evidence, then it will be genuine. What actual evidence is there of God? there's a entirely perception that because of the fact somebody "got here lower back from the lifeless" yet have been hooked as much as lots of different kit that replaced into set there to maintain them alive, and to hold them lower back, it replaced into God. So permit's bypass into historic past we could, we've the perception that issues got here from unmarried-celled organims, are there nonetheless those floating around? particular. Do they multiply? particular. So wait there is evidence of it already. look on the deformities there are on particular human beings, they weren't angels and demons, basically freakishly shaped human beings, particular we comprehend there have been giants, yet what evidence do you would be able to desire to assert that they have got been something different then a individual with a deformity? Do you have the wings of an angel or the tail of a demon to instruct us? we don't base on assumption, we base on the logical and genuine, what has been shown. that is been shown time and time lower back that those "Christians" and their "God" are all appropriate at the same time to unusual anomalies of the earth, that may all be defined. The reaons that a church replaced into ignored in a erupting volcanone, in case you regarded on the form of it, there replaced right into a great very very nearly mountainous stone that lined the lower back of it and the lava flowed previous. Your gates in a cellular shattering and breaking, if I bear in mind wisely it replaced into geared up on a fault line if that tale replaced into genuine. verify your components and look the place you stand earlier you're making assumptions which you're marvelous. grant some evidence and according to hazard, basically maybe (noticeably doubt it) we are going to have self belief you.

Well that is because atheists have a license to think freely, beyond the constraints and tenets of a set religion. Christians are always looking for new meat to bring into their church, that's why they solicit from any non-believer.

It may take a while, but eventually you'll realize that I don't know everything. Not to worry, it's a common error. Feel free to provoke my intelect, it tickles. Let me ask, 'why' are you alive? I think I know the answer, but I crave an atheistic answer that addresses the issue of 'why'.

Atheists have to constantly defend their atheist beliefs. this is why they have thought provoking answers, because they have had to think about it. Christians assume that they have the absolute truth and they are simply looking for validation, or interperetation of their beliefs when they "solicit answers".
