is losing the promise by others of "heaven" so bad?
what if the bird in your hand is worth more than the promise of two in a bush you do not have (next life)?

what about the part in Bible where 'god' stops the sun so massacres can continue....
given that the sun does not go across the sky, it's the earth that rotates (thanks to science and Galileo)
can you imagine what would happen if Atlas or a God stopped the earth from rotating? can you say,,, TSUNAMI!!!!!!!

Believing that the world is only six thousand years old, when the last ice age receeded about ten thousand years ago, is a bit obtuse. They have found ruins of working cooperating villages that are thirty thousand years old. True facts and christian belief don't seem to jive.

I see your proof is to attack what is taught in the Bible.. Just how is that proof of your ideas? You make a absolute claim then don't support it. How is that proof of anything. I tell you that the Bible, though it make no claim about being a book of science, is not inconsistent with science. Since you nor any other "scientist" that there to observe. the claim that the sun stopped in the heavens how do you know it didn't? Could that have been a moment when there was a pole reversal? Pole reversals are a scientific theory. We have no idea what happens during one. Would the tilt of the world be effected? No one knows for sure.. As most of the people of your ilk you have not thought through your attack before making it.. I don't mind talking of these matters with anyone but I hate it when they come, like you did, thinking you are so superior then finding out that Christians have reasons for their faith reasons you don't have to except but at least you could give them a bit more respect than to think we hide from your Hear, See, and speak EVIL... HI,
Have you ever seen life come from none living matter? I didn't think so. Now try to program that same none-living matter so it will reproduce according to it's own kind, and program healing capibilities into it so it is self healing. Once you've done that, create another thousand upon thousand different kinds of reproducing entities with the same abilities. But before you do that you must build a closed system that will support each of these functions, along with all the matter for all these entities to reproduce and rebuild themselves. Also, before you do this, you must place this closed system in a very specific location in relation to an energy source that is conducive to the support for all the necessary requirments to maintain all these activities. This will be a total impossibility of course, because of the complexity involved, but hey, why on Earth would we ever think something this complex could ever happen anyway. In fact it would take an intelligence beyond our comprenhension to even dream of attempting such a feat. Oh, I almost forgot .... someone already did this. He claims to be God! Now who is this God guy trying to kid? We all know that we really aren't here... it's got to be some sort of strange dream, and somehow it's all just a figment of my strange imagination.... right? I mean we can't really be imagining this stuff can we? Wait just a second, I know it'a all a trick! That's it, it's a trick!
After all, we all think, so therefore we are, and we all know that this isn't just some strange accident, I really wouldn't be concerned about the whole God question if it was an accident...... right!? Well I've thought about it, and thought about it, and I've come to the conclusion after all the chemisty and physics, courses that I've taken. That there's something far greater going on here than just an accident. If you can't see the truth of this impossibly complex universe all around you, you've burried your head so far down in the sand that even if you do open your eyes, you'll be blinded by the depth of your own darkness!

I'm not a christian. But I'll tell you that they will deny science if it conflict with their belief.
However, if you are on the right path, there won't be conflict between science and revelation. There will only be revelations that science cannot explain at the moment. An example would be the parting of the Sea of Reed (Red Sea). Science could not explain it in the past but now there is scientific evidence that supports the idea that it is plausible for the sea to part under certain condition.

proof is pretty powerful word. scientific is a VERY broad word. Truth must be consistent. I don't have blind faith. I used to be an aetheist but objectively looking at "science" there is a superior being. I now believe in God's Word. Nothing scientifically has "denied" it, and I always am prepared defend specific issues.

A funny thing about scientific proofs, they change. Scientific studies prove conclusively one thing for certain. A few months later, another scientific study proves the first study was wrong.
The ones that agree with the Bible are usually the ones that stand up to time and scrutiny.

We don't need scientific proof because we have the word of Jesus. If christians will not believe Him, then they certainly are not going to believe scientists. The accurate account of creation is NOT in Genesis and NEVER has been. You will find it in The Apocryphon of John.

i could debate your declare approximately Einstein. He replaced into, at maximum, a deist. maximum debts have him as a pantheist. "i do no longer have faith in a private God and that i've got on no account denied this yet have expressed it of course. If something is in me which will nicely be referred to as non secular then that's the unbounded admiration for the form of the worldwide to date as our technology can show it." (Albert Einstein, 1954) you're ultimate touching directly to the others. human beings consisting of Galileo, Descartes, and Newton did have faith in a god. in addition they had much less wisdom touching directly to the atom than maximum 8th graders. whilst they have been amazing men, they lived in a time till now lots of the medical advancements that we now use to describe the universe. they did no longer understand touching directly to the atom with protons, neutrons, and electrons. they did no longer understand approximately evolution. They lived in a time till now the invention of pink-shift by technique of Hubble's Telescope brought about the huge Bang concept. those men have been great minds who helped to construct the mountain of wisdom that we stand on suitable of on the instant. they did no longer, although, have get admission to to the information that we do. subsequently, that's no longer incredible that they believed in a god. in basic terms with the aid of fact the early men believed lightening and ailment had supernatural motives till now we knew approximately electrical energy and bacteria, those men made the thought of a god with the aid of gaps we had yet to fill.
