I have green eyes which sometimes look hazel. I use Covergirl matte Faded Pink over my entire lid to my brow bone, then I accentuate the outer half of my lids with matte Smooth Taupe to make my eyes appear larger. A faint line of Smooth Taupe also goes under the outer half of my lower lids, and I finish up with Maybelline Great Lash mascara in basic black.

I have a fair complexion, but if your skin tones are darker you could go with something more dramatic. When I am tanned I usually go for greys, such as charcoal or smoke.

I like the glittery stuff
black is best for bringing out any eye color..neutral color..and intense
though its said, that warm colors would be more suitable for hazel eyes..it depends on the effect you're looking for
whoever said purple though...very very wrong for hazel purple is a winter cool color..hazel is warm

I bought some of the new eyeshadow combos for hazel eyes that are on the market now.
They are great!
The combo for green works well for my eyes, too.
