I am sick of all these religious fights and abuses. These people don't want to accept anything but their narrow and inflexible views. Everyone else is utmost wrong. Everyone else will go to hell. Or will just die, really die. In fact, why wait for that, let's kill them all. Right?

These poor believers are so desperate about their beliefs, because they have invested everything into that, and they cannot accept the idea of having been wrong, SO wrong all their life... It is totally understandable, the shock, the internal consequences and the effort are beyond words.
That is why I ask this, how on earth could we, "non believers, heretics and devils", do something for them?
Why should we do anything for them, you ask? Well, maybe out of altruism, maybe to remember where we came from, or maybe just because we are forced to live on the same small planet with them.
So... How can we do that?

1/Would they go into shock.
2/Into a coma.
3/Drop down dead at his feet.
4/Blame the man next door for his porky's
5/Say they were only looking for evidence.
6/Say they are mixed up and don't believe.
7/Say they converted for a bet of £50k
8/Say they are trying to help JW see the light.

why do some approaches to Christianity make it seem like it's a ploy to make you act perfect all the time and that even if you do one thing wrong you'll go to hell if you don't ask for forgiveness? because that's the feeling i get sometimes. and plus, this seems very repellent.

...but once did, what made you come to the conclusion that there isn't a God?
I just want to know what made you change your mind about God's existence. Was there a bad experience or just find something better?

I'm just curious. I'm not trying to mock anyone.

in another dimension?

And could I ever meet that 'other' me? If the script has already been written, I feel like this life is one where I'm playing catch-up- hoping to bump into my other self.

I have no problem with anyone's faith. I am a spiritual person, but I see no need for me personally to attend church, refer to the bible and i certainly will not start knocking on peoples doors to read the bible to them. If other people like to do this, then that is their business. This lady keeps knocking regularly and I am polite, I have said I will not become a Jehovah's witness and I believe in evolution and karma rather than this physical God's government on earth. How do I get the message across more firmly, rather than ignoring every unexpected knock at my door?

You know, generally I'm a nice person and love to answer questions on here, but I'm really just frustrated to no end at the ignorance that I constantly see on YA R&S. Those that questions Islam and Muhammad, why don't you take the time to read the Quran? Why ask really stupid questions and not spend some time actually learning about that which you seemingly oppose so much? Is it because you are afraid to learn something new, or because you are afraid that it is true? Why do you constantly persist to read only the passages that speak about jihad, and not read the entire Quran? I don't get it!!

if being gay is a sin worse to kill people like the soldiers doing in afghanistan, iraq.. or presidents using the name of God for killing people... is it worse to kill people or being gay? can God loves the gay people? if the gospel said God is love?if the Old testament forbidden the homosexuality but jesus never said something about that? why then you believe in Paul if Paul was not jesus.. Paul was machist when he said the women should be silent and submissive to his husban in his letters... Jesus said he was sent to the people who was lost.. jesus ate with the people that nobody likes at that time.. like protistutes ect,.. then why christians say nobody likes gay people if Jesus was one of those person who eats with the people nobody likes.. he was a good man for that people.. or not?

anti-Catholic rhetoric from the pulpit? What was said?

Sadly, I have had this experience myself.

Also, have you ever heard ANY anti-Protestant rhetoric from the priests during Mass?
If so, what was said?

Gladly, I have not had this experience.

How bout you?

Have you ever seen something evolve in another species? I haven't. I've seen people and dogs change, but they just turn into more people and dogs. Anyone have any links into species changing that are not assumptions from facts but actually evolution?

Does preaching in the Catholic sense include discussing moral issues? When does this become preaching? Are these things left only to preists and deacons?

Can anyone give me a Catechism reference?

Thank You

One would assume if God were to dictate a book that He would make it interesting, yet why can't I never finish either of the books. Does it mean God Himself is Boring?

I have seen several posts on here over the months about smokers, homosexuality, gossips, ect... just about every sin has had a question raised.

I believe that when we judge as Christians esp. we are actually not having faith that God cannot work in someone's life. When we say this person or that person can't be saved, or is sinning, isn't that the very essense of not having faith in the power of the cross?

Just my thoughts today...what do you think?

If you don't believe in GOD, then who wakes you up in the morning? If you think yourself (or your mom), then what about those people that are dead in the grave, if you put an alarm clock in there will they wake up because they want to? Also why are you atheist, this isn't an attack I just want to know how people think they can live without Holy Trinity (God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost)?

It was a yearly routine at my Catholic school.
Every easter, we would tour the school with the cross, chanting hymns and reciting verses from the bible. It's an imitation of Jesus carrying his cross. I am wondering if this ritual is common in the USA , or is it only practiced by my middle eastern catholic school? I guess it's called "stations of the cross"?

Maybe my assertion is wrong, but many questions I have seen here imply that the askers assumes that there is some united groups of atheists.

These questions typically begin with the words, "To Atheists"

My dear non-christian friends we know that there are a lot of Christians and haters on yahoo answers. Sometimes they have actual questions, but most of the time they just set out to twist the truth however it suits them. Arguing with them will not change their minds. However, we have a might tool we can use. It's logic. When these ppl come with their slander lets just respond with "I love you", and then bop them on the head with a nerf bat.

*I love when questions can be used both ways with just a few simple word changes*
