if being gay is a sin worse to kill people like the soldiers doing in afghanistan, iraq.. or presidents using the name of God for killing people... is it worse to kill people or being gay? can God loves the gay people? if the gospel said God is love?if the Old testament forbidden the homosexuality but jesus never said something about that? why then you believe in Paul if Paul was not jesus.. Paul was machist when he said the women should be silent and submissive to his husban in his letters... Jesus said he was sent to the people who was lost.. jesus ate with the people that nobody likes at that time.. like protistutes ect,.. then why christians say nobody likes gay people if Jesus was one of those person who eats with the people nobody likes.. he was a good man for that people.. or not?

According to some Christians, homosexuals will go to hell. I am not one of those Christians, and I wish that everyone else that I claim as a brother or sister in Christ that does say this will realize that it is false. There is not division of sins that say which is one is worse than another one. All sins are equal for two reasons. Any sin separates us from God. Any sin, no matter how big or small, ruins the perfect union that we have with God. The only way that the union can be restored is through the sacrifice of Christ. Through that blood, that relationship can be reconciled. Secondly, all sins can be forgiven. They are forgiven immediately when someone asks for forgiveness. God doesn't give us some waiting period if the sin is too horrible. He forgives immediately because He wants to restore the relationship with us as much as we do. He desires that as well. So, to the part of your question that asks which sin is worse, they are equal.

Next, you ask if God can love gay people. Absolutely!! Romans 8:38-39 states, "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Sin can separate us from the perfect union with God, but it cannot separate us from the LOVE of God. 1 John 4:8 tells us that "God is love". I firmly believe that! Paul sometimes gets a bad reputation when people misunderstand his writings. I do not believe that Paul didn't think women could preach or speak in church. In fact, my mother is a pastor. Paul stated in the pastoral letters (Timothy and Titus) that women should be silent. However, the Greek word for silent is composure not complete silence or being quiet. Also, he had a woman that traveled with him named Priscilla that was a leader and did preach during Paul's travels. Also, there is some evidence that Paul may not have actually written those verses. There is evidence that one of Paul's followers used Paul's name to write it. It may not really be Paul's writing at all. Also, people misunderstand what Paul wrote in Romans 1 about homosexuality. What Paul wrote was using an example of how people were trading what is righteous for what was unrighteous. He was not saying that homosexuality is some worse sin than any other sin. Yes, you are correct Paul is not Christ. And, you are also correct in saying that homosexuality is actually seldom mentioned in scripture. And, you are also correct in saying that Jesus ate with the ones that were the outcasts of society. They were the unclean people that no one wanted to deal with or bother befriending. I think we need to be more like Jesus in the way that we deal with people that we say are untouchable. Christ ate with the untouchable, and I think it's deplorable that Christians now don't follow that as much as we should.

God indeed can and does forgive people that are gay. I know that for a fact. I also know that God loves all of his creation dearly, and nothing can change that. I think it's sad that some Christians focus so much on this issue and not on other things that Christ mentioned repeatedly -- like taking care of the poor. I wish that people were as passionate about that being a problem as they are about homosexuality being a sin. Perhaps, if people used half the energy on taking care of the poor that they do on hating homosexuals then we wouldn't have as many starving children as we do right now.

Jesus did not come to judge. It was not his mission. He did forgive those that were in sin and said "go sin no more." So, after a fashion you are right, but it goes further. One day Jesus will come again and judgment will occur. If you are in sin you will die. If you have received forgiveness you will live.

Paul and the others write to Christians and teach the ways that promote what Jesus taught. They out line what is sinful and also speak of relationships in general. Nothing they say is invalidated by what Jesus said.

Paul may well have been a machist. But, what you cite is for a specific church with specific problems. You must also realize what culture they were in. I am sure if Paul were to write a Church today he would address men standing up and disturbing Church or whatever the problem was.

Women should be submissive to their husbands. This is how it was set up in the beginning and there is nothing wrong with this. Paul also said the husband should be willing to die for his family as Christ died for the Church. If you put the marriage into perspective you will see that it is not empowering men as much as it was telling men their duties to the family.

Personally, my wife submits to me. This does not mean she grovels at my feet. It means she speaks with me tells me her needs or what is going on and then we make a decision. But, if there is an issue we cannot agree on I make the call and it is a tremendous burden. I do not invoke this right often and have at times regretted doing so. My wife is my trusted friend, counsel and consort. I would be less a man with out her.

God loves the sinner but he hates the lifestyle. Those quote on quote Christians are not acting like Christians and are probably hipocrites themselfs. One practicing openly homosexuality at the time of there death will not go to heaven, but one who repents of the sin, turns from the sin and the lifestyle has just as much right to salvation as the drunk, or the prostitute or the murderer. Paul was a murderer who persecuted Christians and God called him and used him. While I do not gay bash, and will witness if a door opens to do so. I do not condone or agree at all with people being gay/lesbian it is antigod and against the natural nature in which God intended realations to be.

Forgiveness is given to people who are sorry. If a person continues to act out homosexually then they are not sorry and suffer the consequences.

You talk about Jesus and his forgiveness but, don't forget when he saved the Prostitute from being stoned he said "Go and sin no more" He did not waste his time on people who were determined to keep on sinning.

1) murder is never justified. no reason to kill gays
2) whether or not they were born that way, they chose to STAY in sin. that's what makes you a sinner. those who die in sin go to Hell, because God can't have sin in His presence.
3) if Jesus alluded to Sodom and Gomorrah, which were destroyed for having homosexuality, pedophilia, rape and beastiality as law, then why would you assume Jesus didn't have an opinion on it?
4) yeah Jesus likely would have hung around with one or two if they weren't stoned to death already. but of course, Jesus loved the sinner but hated the sin. just like everyone's supposed to.

you don't go to Hell for having gay feelings or urges. no one can change those. but urges don't make you a sinner, staying in sin does. if you believe contrary to God, condone or practice sin, you are a sinner. otherwise, you're not. if someone who has gay feelings doesn't believe it's right, doesn't condone it and doesn't practice it, then they aren't guilty of that sin. okay?

Blessings

Sin is sin. There are no "better" or "worse" sins. All sin is wrong and not acceptable. But when God forgives sin, it's gone, and there is no more condemnation for it. When sin is not forgiven, there is condemnation and hell. Everyone sins. It's just a matter of forgiveness. When a person repents, God forgives them. When a person chooses not to repent, they are not forgiven, thus condemned.

As for people, God loves all people and we as people should love one another. People don't and that is their fault, not God's. God even commanded us to love one another.

The best way to answer this question is to read and study the book of Romans in the Bible. It's all spelled out clearly there.

Jesus was a fantastic guy and, yes, He loves gays. I believe people are born gay and just like people are born with blue eyes or brown eyes, it is no more a sin to be gay than to be born with blue or brown eyes. If however, my thinking is somehow flawed, and it turns out that it is a sin, then, thank God (literally) for grace.

God will forgive Gay people if they want to be forgiven and if they turn from there wicked ways. All people that want to be forgiven of there sins can if they repent and never do them again, Psalms was a book of apology written by King David to God for all of his sins he'd commited and he never did them again. Only ones that are unrepented is blaspheming the holy ghost and one more I can remember.

Jesus tells us to hate the sin but love the sinner. Do gays go to heaven? Sure, but they have to accept Jesus into their lives, and admit that homosexuality is a sin. They don't have to stop right away, but they should realize eventually that it goes against the laws of God.
