One would assume if God were to dictate a book that He would make it interesting, yet why can't I never finish either of the books. Does it mean God Himself is Boring?

I cannot speak for the Koran.

While admitting there are parts of the Bible that are boring, and there are other parts that are very difficult to understand and place in a meaningful context, there are other parts that I think are quite interesting. The narrative sections of the Hebrew Bible, and the Gospels I think are quite readable.

There are more conceptual parts, the Wisdom Books in the Hebrew Bible and the Pauline Epistles that repay even casual reading.

Personally, I think seeing sacred scriptures as words from some deity is a red herring. Forget that, if it gets in your way. I know that the Bible only began to be meaningful to me when I quit trying to force it into some pre-conceived coherent system. Let it/them be the documents that they are.

You might like audio readings better (books on tape).
Both are incredibly interesting with all kinds of drama.

(I have this urge to say, if you are so bored, you can go clean out the garage-- but I think that is just the "mom" in me...)

The problem isn't that GOD's words are boring. The problem is that your heart and mind are closed to the TRUTH of GOD. I think the main reason this happens is that Shaytan/Satan blinds people to the TRUTH of Allah/GOD.

If you have tried to read the Quran, but found it difficult to stay awake, may I recommend that you try again only this time pray for Allah/GOD to give you protection from Shaytan and to open your heart and mind to the TRUTH of Islam.

If you lack the judgement it would take to differentiate the Bible from the Koran, then you deserve to be bored! lol

They are so freaking different, I can scream. How could you read them and not see that?

Haha you probably started from Genisis and made it about half way through Numbers. Try starting in Matthew and then read Romans. "The greatest story ever Told"

For the bible i don't know, but for the Quran,i am sure you didn't understand anything (sometimes it is hard to understand if you don't have enough knowledge),but if you read the commentary you will find it very interesting.

You get out what you put in.
If you enter with the mindset of finding something valuable, you will. It makes you focus.
