First, by giving you truth in his word. If the people of London in the middle ages had followed the Levitical protocols for handling food, waste and sewage, their rat problem would never have become so severe and the plague would not have happened.

Second, by guiding your decisions through prayer. God has saved me from many foolish decisions by learning to pray and seek his word.

Third, by answering prayer for our needs. As Jesus said "Give us today, our daily bread." We get answers when we ask, as God has directed us to.

Yet, the most important care God has is for your soul. Which of immesurably greater value than your body. Sometimes, this requires denying your carnal desires and even may include allowing you to suffer. I have learned more valuable lessons from suffering than from pleasure. I have learned more about the character of God from seeing how he comforts my spirit and gives me peace in times of need and hardship, than from the food or support I was given.

in my day to day goings about, i would say that God cares for me by reminding me to keep prayerful, by opening my heart, and by giving me the humility and inclination to put my questions and concerns before Him.

true, God does not come down from on high and pay my rent Himself. but remembrance of Him does give me great help and strength throughout the day, in doing the smallest things.
