I am sick of all these religious fights and abuses. These people don't want to accept anything but their narrow and inflexible views. Everyone else is utmost wrong. Everyone else will go to hell. Or will just die, really die. In fact, why wait for that, let's kill them all. Right?
These poor believers are so desperate about their beliefs, because they have invested everything into that, and they cannot accept the idea of having been wrong, SO wrong all their life... It is totally understandable, the shock, the internal consequences and the effort are beyond words.
That is why I ask this, how on earth could we, "non believers, heretics and devils", do something for them?
Why should we do anything for them, you ask? Well, maybe out of altruism, maybe to remember where we came from, or maybe just because we are forced to live on the same small planet with them.
So... How can we do that?

I appreciate logical, longer and thought-out suggestions.
I do not appreciate retaliative answers.

This questions is also personal, as i have a few religious friends which I find to be very nice and worthy of my time etc. But I'm so sad to see how they refuse to even question their convictions.

** To those saying I am hateful, ignorant and violent, would you care to explain your reasoning please?
** "Christians" do not kill other people? You should read some history then. The Bible is not the only worth reading.
** Believers are much easier to manipulate, that's why US and other countries encourage religions.
** And no, I cannot stand by and watch them being "happy". That is only an illusion for their mind. If I were living in a cave, afraid to get out and watch the sky, I would appreciate someone slowly extracting me from that comfortable hole.
In fact, the indifference that some people recommend me is just as wrong as the imposition of a strict view.

Bharat, you claim you are a non believer; do you believe Light is Magic?
Then you are a believer -- yet apart from the field.
Right you are, Christ did NOT literally walk on water: and right you are the Red Sea was never literally, stupendously parted before the Jews, exoditing a Slaveship, that never actually occured: Led by one Moses, a man who never actually ("literally") existed.
Only written in an Book, the "Old Testament", by One Prophet -- 'The Prophet' as Referenced in the New Testament, in two subversive instances; respectively.
And Christianity "is a sham" too! For Behold Jesus, the young man, wrote the book entirely on his own, weaving fact and fantasy into a teaching which in my own humble opinion is Divine all samely to the afor said.
The New Testament does a good job at weaving the Old Testament into, so, try reading Christ's Book in the mindset that He wrote it all, and is a sort of "Liar", a deceiver, but only in the most literal an uninnate senses.
The Books are the Books, They are pure, written by Two TRUE Prophets, try to discern between these and the throngs of men who devour what words they can into fire and dearth.
Also to experience 'Spirituality' (To Believe), try reading a book (short) by Tolkien called 'The Hobbit', it would be worth your while, it is devout only in deed but not in imposition of worldly dogma, as you know.
Good Luck, Mithrandir.

Whether you're a christian or non-christian we all are just as bad as each other. We all deserve to die and go to hell because we wrong each other all the time (Romans 3:9-20, Romans 3.23). My dad once told me a Christian is someone that is Christ-like. And all Christ wants us to do is Love. If you look at the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20), the underlying theme is Love. Love God, love your parents, and love everyone around you. The word Love is so deep and vast in its meaning, see 1 Corinthians 13.
So to answer your question we can only get along by being and living like Christ-WITH Christ's help.
And not to leave you with such a negative thought that we all deserve to go to hell, accepting Christ's death and ressurection for the sins we have committed will counter the death penalty we all deserve (Romans 6.23, John 3.16).

What is your basis of knowing you are right and the Christians are wrong?
Where do you find true Christians killing others?
What do you think is not narrow? Like everything is true ?? or: everything is relative. That statement is very absolute -so if it were true that everything is relative, so even that sentence is relative and cannot be true.If everything is not relative-then??
As you are not desperate about your beliefs and know where you came from and why you live and where you are going to -but the Christians do not??
Hmm -I can't really see what is the salvation and redemption you are offering to me, a Christian.
I have to repent even if I hate someone, let alone kill -so you are not going to find me there as terrorist and you will also find me praying for my enemies as Jesus tells me to.
I believe the Bible and it says: where the Spirit of the God is there is freedom!!!
So you are free to implement your plan of salvation but without any knifes or needles, please, first show me on what basis I am wrong!

I am a Unitarian Universalist, I have fought my whole life with feelings of doubt and frustration at religion as a whole, I grew up Catholic and was innundated with guilt for asking about things that didnt sit quite right with me.
Now having spent years reflecting on what I think God is and what my place here means I have found a church that allows me to seek the answers regardless of what denomination that might be (personally I have found that Buddhism makes great sense to my frame of referance).
I don't know if those people will ever see anything larger than their own current learning at least in this life but I do know that it is because of what they have learned that they think and act like they do.
It is shocking that they cant see the contradictions and falsities in what they preach but they really cant see it.
For those of us outside of that culture, we have to have patience and forgiveness for their ignorance, it is a way to practice what we preach as well. To argue only causes more frustration and bad feelings for us as well as them and that does no one any good.
Have faith in your own path and be grateful for your knowledge and open mind, through example we can show them how to love and be tolerant. I know it is hard sometimes heck most of the time to do but when we engage in battle we have already lost.

In the same way that your mind is opened and saved. I, too, get tired of the narrowness and inflexibility, but also find some remarkable moments of grace. Desparate people are desparate, they need someone to inspire not another desparate person to further crush their spirits. Abuses need to be confronted. Beliefs need to be examined, including those of nonbelievers. We need to move beyond the prison of selfcentredness to mutual care for a hurting world.
We crucify Jesus, day by day,
In the things we do,
And the words we say.
His Body, the Church laid out
Upon the cross of the world;
We drive wedges, sharp and cruel,
Not merely to affix the corpse thereto
In caricature of execution, redemption's tool,
But to sever the limbs, break bones in two.
We see atonement, purchased thereby,
Only applicable to our particular crumb
As if the whole loaf were not sanctified,
But only "the elect" for whom He died.
In our perfection we deny
Both benefit and necessity
And allow no grace but what we mediate
Loving our Lord, while our brother we hate.
If only Peter, more perfect he,
And Paul less irascible he might be
Each an apostle fit for Jesus' choice,
But neither these days would find voice
In a church ruled by image instead of Lord,
Innocent of need for living Word.

You cannot move someone, until they are ready to move. People cannot advance in spiritual development, until they are ready to do so, as this advance requires a sacrifice. The movement from earthly focus to spiritual focus requires a release from the boundaries surrounding us, from culture, society, religion, politics, and education. It requires a change in the way we understand things, and the way we see things. Often people are afraid to step outside of what they know as 'normal'. People should not be chastised for this, but accepted for the stage at which they are at.
Something like being educated in math.......first we learn addition.....etc. etc.....before jumping into calculus. If you didn't have the foundational knowledge for calculus, you would be overwhelmed and afraid once you arrived in the class.
You cannot save them, they must save themselves. You can however, be an example, by your own behavior and spiritual development.

You can lead a horse to water but you can not make it drink. As an atheist I strive for them to acknowledge and respect my rights to have my own agenda and opinion. I don
't won't to change the theist and I don't want them to change me. In fact the only reason I post an answer to their questions to share my opinion on the subject it is not to change their minds or anyone elses but to put my voice out there to be heard by others like me and to know that I am not alone as well with at least a few of my non theist ideas.

WOULD YOU REALLY BE SAVING THEM? I DONT THINK SO. YES IM A CHILD OF GOD AND IM ALREADY SAVED. I WAS BROUGHT UP THAT WAY, AND YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO ABOUT CHRISTIANS BEING BRAINWASHED. HOWEVER, UNTIL YOU FEEL THE PRESENCE OF GOD YOU WILL NEVER TRULY UNDERSTAND WERE WE ARE COMING FROM. SEE ITS NOT ALL ABOUT WHAT WEVE BEEN TAUGHT. THATS ONLY PART OF IT. THE EXPERIENCE OF KNOWING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND FRIEND IS SO MUCH MORE. OH AND SAY THAT YOU DID CONVERT A CHRISTIAN TO ANOTHER BELIEF (WHICH WOULD BE HARD TO DO IF THEY WERE TRULY ROOTED AND GROUNDED.) SAY WHEN YOUR LIFE CAME TO AND END AND YOU FOUND OUT THAT WHAT THOSE CHRISTIANS WERE TALKING ABOUT WAS THE TRUE WAY. THEN HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? IN MY OPINION I WOULD FEEL TERRIBLE FOR LEADING MY FREIND DOWN THE WRONG PATH. THERE BLOOD WOULD BE ON MY HANDS AND THAT WOULD BE THE MOST AWFUL FEELING EVER. I DID NOT SAY THIS TO OFFEND YOU BUT TO REALLY MAKE YOU THINK. I HOPE YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND THAT YOU WOULD ALLOW THE KING OF ALL KINGS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND SAVE YOU. THIS WAS NOT EVEN SAID TO JUDGE YOU EITHER. THAT IS NOT MY PLACE NOR ANYONE ELSES BUT GOD'S BC LORD KNOWS IM NOT PERFECT AND I HAVE FALLEN MANY OF TIMES. THATS JUST THE JOY OF THE FATHER. IF YOU REPENT AND ARE SINCERE AND REALLY WILLING TO TRY TO BE MORE LIKE HIM HIS GRACE IS ALWAYS SUFFICIENT.

1. You want to "save" people? From what and with what?
2. Have you ever died and alive again, so you had thought that Christianity is so wrong?
3. Everyone will go to heaven, if they find the way to that place.
4. May I know what is your belief?

The thing is its your opinion that we christians are wrong. I don't judge or condemn anyone based on their beliefs. I can't tell you that you are going to hell, I don't have that power. I would really appreciate you not generalizing all christians. I don't give a flip about what you choose to believe. Thats your business, if you aren't hurting anyone and you are happy, its really all that matters.
