Only in church can you study the Bible for 5 years and still be at the level that visitors are taught. In 5 years, I want there to be as big of difference as the difference between being in 9th grade in high school and being a sophmore in college. Don't you?

Does such a study exist?

why do the Christians make a big deal out of their phony cut-and-paste 'prophecies'.

The early Christians didn't even understand the difference between the Hebrew meaning of Messiah and the Greek interpretation read into the Septuagint. That misunderstanding is why they read a god-man into the Old Testament.

Can't you people admit you were wrong?

If you cannot prove this, then is it safe to say that George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Jeb Bush are murderers for pardoning and harboring the CONVICTED terrorists Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles in Flordia RIGHT NOW?

Your Bishop and his counselors and why they seem to always "not get it right"? Or the explanations they give in church just don't add up? Why "revelations" have been changed?

Specific examples please. I don't want answers like "everywhere" or "go read the bible yourself." And I already know the Egyptian children one, and the other most common ones. I need something I might have skipped over.

He stole the Virgin Birth motif, which was practically a requirement to be taken seriously in the Mediterranean.

He stole the "Child King as a threat" motif and had Herod come after him.

He stole the precocious child story, taken from Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Krishna and Buddha, all boy geniuses by the age of twelve, according to legend.

He borrowed December 25th as his birthday, hardly original since it was already a common holiday celebrating the birth of Mithras by the time the Christians took over.

The Madonna and Child iconography was taken from Mithras, ISIS and Horus, Zarathustra and Apollo.

The shepherd god concept was taken fro Apollo.

The Dying/Rising God from Dionysus, Perseus, Horus, Osiris,
Heracles, etc, etc, etc.

The ascension to the heavens from Julius Caesar, Heracles, Horus and others.

The healing of lepers from Elijah, Vespasian and Krishna.

Did he do anything original?

Most of you probably know that Chlorus was the father of Constantine I. He's therefore related to the military supremacy of a religious state that spread the christians' ideology over gnosists, nicolaites and the late greek/persian folklore.

From there my concern is: "was Chlorus really an ?". Khlôros actually means "green", not "pale"...

*note this does not say Christians...only fundies. So if your a Christian, but not a fundie then dont worry about this question...if you are offended by the question then your a fundy*

Anyway all atheist, agnostics and satanist come together and let us come up with some "new testimony" as to how we are all heathens.
The bashing here has become somewhat tedious and boring...so confess your sins....and lets give them something more exciting to talk about.

I will start...I love Jelly...I lust after her and so therefore I am a lesbian in this virtual world called YA. I lust after her because I am agnostic...you see the connection dont you?

I just saw "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" It's an HBO film by ?? IDK.
It's about the story of the white man taking the land from the Indians. When looking at this movie all I see is evil. I see greed and pride. Have you seen this movie? What's your views?

i believe jesus was a man that existed and held good values, but i do not believe that a person (although to some he is god) can be a savior. i do not believe god can be a savior. some will say i am going to hell, i will say i do not believe in hell and am perfectly content and happy as i am. i don't believe in jesus, i don't believe in god, but i believe in what they stand for. i am not against either but personnally they do not do much for me. if they do for you i am happy for you and hope they continue to. as to hell or heaven, i don't understand how a belief can take you there. i don't see why it matters. isn't death... death? i am happy, i am loved, i am a child and i am overjoyed to be. i look at theology as interesting, not something to be taken as absolute fact. if you have any answers to my questions please share them. thank you.

I consider myself agnostic. I guess that I look at religion with an open mind. If I considered myself atheist then I would no longer have an open mind, would I?
