Why won't any Christian faith healers heal me of my cancer?

My husband who was a spirit-filled Christian and loved the Lord died four years ago of cancer. We were married 27 years and I have four sons from 28 to 37. My answer is that there are actually three answers...1) that God will either heal you instantly, 2) or heal you over a matter of time or 3) heal you and take you home. I know there is a reason that some get healed and others don't. I can't judge any situation. I couldn't understand why my husband had to die. I was believing as he was that he'd be healed and we would continue our ministry together. But there are sometimes things that stand in the way of our healing. I can't say I know everything but this is what I do know, that we need to fill our mind with His Word, His thoughts, His ways and to obey Him in everything, not hold any grudges, not complain but praise Him in everything. Begin to thank Him for all that He has done and all that He wants to bring forth through our lives as we struggle with attempts by friends, doctors, etc and with any negative thoughts. Remember the verse, Whatever a man thinks, so is he. What are you thinking? Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. (of this cancer) In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Make everything right with everyone. Harbor no hate, no ill will, not vengeance. Be always forgiving, free from misconceptions, ungodliness, carnality, flesh. You know the Word. If you believe that God can heal you then don't believe the lies of Satan. He wants to kill and destroy. Is that what you're thinking? Remember you are a child of the King, a daughter of God. Tell your enemy to go and don't budge. Don't give him any leeway into your life. Nothing is impossible with God..what that means is nothing is without wisdom with God.

Be of good cheer...daughter...you are loved and God knows your every weakness and strength. Linger on your strengths. Thank Him for the smallest things that He does in your life each day. Breathing, fresh air, friends, family, peace, hope, joy, compassion, love, mercy, forgiveness and hope..

Seen you on Larry King not long ago, sorry about your illness, hope you take time to read this, it's a little long.

Maybe it is because Jehovah God does not use faith healers anymore. The one's you see & hear about on TV have been proved false by major networks.

Jesus delegated this divine power of healing to others who were closely associated with him in his ministry. When the 12 apostles were sent out, and later the 70 disciples, they were empowered to cure the sick. After Pentecost of 33 C.E., certain ones, including Peter, John, Philip, and Paul, were given this divine power to heal completely. After Christianity became firmly rooted, and with the passing of the apostles off the scene, such “gifts of healings” also passed away. 1Co 12:8, 9, 28, 30; 13:8, 13.

What hope is there for real healing from all sickness?

Rev. 21:1-4: “I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, ‘And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”

Isa. 25:8: “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.” (Also Revelation 22:1, 2)

Isa. 33:24: “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”

If Someone Says—

‘Do you believe in healing?’

One might reply: ‘Anyone who doesn’t believe that God has the power to heal doesn’t believe the Bible. But I can’t help but wonder whether people are going about it in the right way today.’ Then perhaps add: (1) ‘Let me read you a scripture, and see if you notice a practice that is very different in our day. (Matt. 10:7, 8) . . . Do you also notice something here that Jesus said his disciples could do but that healers today have not been able to do? (They cannot raise the dead.)’ (2) ‘We are not the judges of other people, but it is noteworthy that Matthew 24:24 mentions something that we need to be on guard against.’

Or you could say: ‘I certainly do believe that what the Bible says about healing is true. But any healing done in this system of things brings only temporary benefits, doesn’t it? Eventually we all die. Will there ever be a time when everyone living will enjoy good health and never have to die? (Rev. 21:3, 4)’

How was the healing performed by Jesus far different from what is commonly done by those who claim to have healing powers today?

There was no strong emotional display from the crowds and no dramatic frenzy on the part of Jesus. In addition, Jesus never failed to heal the infirm on the pretext that their offering had not been generous enough or that they lacked faith.

Another healer promised to cure cancer and paralysis. What happened? According to Veja magazine, “the promise, evidently, was not fulfilled.” And listen to the way the man conducted himself: “During nearly two hours, [the faith healer] entertained the audience with sermons, prayers, screams, singing, even using blows, with a view to expelling demons lodging in the bodies of the faithful. At the end, he threw his necktie and his handkerchief to the entranced audience and passed a plate in order to collect ‘voluntary contributions.’” Jesus and his apostles never asked for money for miraculous healings, and they never engaged in such theatrics.

what can be said about the identity of the “great crowd” mentioned at Revelation 7:9? Well, look at verse 13 and the question, “Who are they and where did they come from?” We find the answer at Revelation 7:14: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation.” So the “great crowd” is composed of those who come out of, or survive, the great tribulation. As verse 17 says, they will be ‘guided to fountains of waters of life’ on earth.

What blessings do they then enjoy? Do you remember the happiness in Israel when faithful King Solomon was reigning? This gave a small picture of the happiness on earth under King Jesus.

There will be literal peace among mankind and between men and the animals, just as Isaiah foretold. Psalm 46:9; Isaiah 11:6-9.

Just as Jesus healed the sick while he was on earth, so he will remove sickness from all mankind. Isaiah 33:24.

Just as he fed the multitudes, so he will abolish food shortages from all mankind. Psalm 72:16.

Just as he raised the dead, so he will raise those dead ones who did not have a full opportunity to submit themselves to God’s Kingdom. John 5:28, 29.

Gradually, he will bring mankind back to the perfection that Adam lost.
Clearly, then, such modern faith healers are not doing what Jesus did. And it is hard to see that God would approve what they are doing.

(Mark 11:24 KJV) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The faith healers do not heal. People are healed when they first of all ask, then belive they receive their healing. Jesus bore the stripes on His back for the healing of anyone that believes they receive there healing, that begins even before healing can be seen with the eyes.

Because they can't, they would claim to heal you of the common cold because there is a good chance it would work and they could take credit. But with cancer there is a good chance it won't heal itself and it would not only make them look bad but if it didn't it may call the christian faith into question for claiming it could in the first place.

The faith healers are not the ones who are going to heal you God is the one. Your deep and honest faith in Him will. Remember you already have your healing because He took all the suffering and infirmities to the cross. You just have to receive it . You just have to renew the way you think and the things you say. Stop saying my cancer because it is not yours don't own it don't claim it,it is not from God Every good thing comes from God. God says i come to give life and life abundantly. The devil comes to kill steal and destroy. start confessing healing over your body each and everyday.Find all the scriptures that talks about healing and confess them. Even when you go to the doctor and you take your medication hold them up to God and pray over them and tell him that even through these meds and my doctor you can work your miracle because i am believing in you. You are my creator you know every inch of my body you know every cell and so i am surrendering myself to you to do your will in the name of Jesus. I will be praying for you. God Bless

you lack faith, you do not need a faith healer you need only have faith in God and in the name of Jesus, you can never be healed if you have faith on man!

tamy, I feel the need to remind you that Jesus is the only Healer. He bore yours and mine illnesses; and all other peoples' sicknesses, diseases, and sufferings on His back. remember how His back was split open with those horrible whips? remember how He took every single sin upon Him so we can be saved? Your trials have been long and arduous, and I can't begin to imagine your difficulties.. but now, sister, rest in the Lord. Trust Him, and let Him be the Lord of your Life, and Your Healer. He is the Healer of your Soul more importantly, than even your body. He warned us not to fear the one who can kill the body, but fear the one who can kill both your body and soul... He was talking about satan.. but, satan has no power over the Christian; Only the Lord does... and Jesus holds the keys to Heaven and Hell! So, for the Christian, we have nothing to fear...not even death!(I remember how many times you lifted me up with such words as I watched you on T.V....It's easy to loose perspective when we are afflicted.)...Ps 90 shows us how very fleeting life on this earth is; and how awsome is the Glory of God: "You turn men back to dust, saying "Return to dust, O sons of men"... You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning...though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered..." These verses are very haunting to me, as it shows us how fragile Man's Life really is... and how very short compared to the Lifespan of Creation...and, what a normal process leaving this world is...We need to spend more time basking in the Awesomeness of God; and not in the lies, and worries, and negative thoughts that satan puts into our heads...
Oh tamy I pray that fear off of you! I wish you could see how very blessed you are! look at all you've done for the Lord.... He does not forget your sacrifices. I would trade you places if I could, but only God appoints our time here on earth... and then we get to go Home and be with Him forever... and I mean, face-to-face; you get to touch the Lord!!! This world is a trash heap compared to Heaven. And, we are here, until our commission from the Most High is finished..You know, all my family is already gone... and yet, I'm not alone.Don't be anxious about anything; you can't change what God Wills...You'll be here as long as He has called you to be...Be in Peace, my sister, our lives only last as long as they need to. When you let go of what is attacking you; it can't hurt you anymore...Let the Lord carry you up to His Holy Place; He keeps me there all the time...It's the only way to get through this world...Hey, we're all gonna be raptured soon, anyway!
