You are living proof that the Word of God is foolishness to those have not the Spirit of God. It is impossible for you to understand that which is inspired by the Holy Spirit and spoken by His prohpets. So please, allow me to enlighten you to these prophesied passages of scripture in the Old Testement...........An amazing prophecy in Daniel 9:25 gives the specific year the Messiah would appear. The angel Gabriel revealed this information to Daniel approximately 580 years before its fulfillment. Let's examine this remarkable prophecy and how it was fulfilled.
"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks ..."
The word translated "weeks" here literally means "sevens."
While it could mean seven-day weeks, that is evidently not the case here. Daniel had been specifically praying earlier in the chapter about a prophetic period of 70 years. In this answer to his prayer, he is told of a period of 70 sevens—clearly meaning 70 sevens of years in this context, i.e. 70 seven-year periods.
Adding 7 plus 62 (69) of these seven-year periods—that is, a total of 483 years—from a decree to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem gives the year the Messiah would appear on the scene.
After Jerusalem's destruction by the Babylonians in 586 B.C., the Babylonian Empire was succeeded by the Medo-Persian Empire. This empire's kings issued several such decrees that were recorded in the Bible (by Cyrus in 538 B.C., found in Ezra 1:1-2, and by Darius in 520 B.C., described in Ezra 6:8).
But the one that was issued by Artaxerxes Longimanus in 457 B.C. (Ezra 7:11-26) points us specifically to Christ's ministry. Counting 483 years from the 457 B.C. date of this decree brings us to A.D. 27 (keep in mind that because there is no year "0" we have to add one year to the calculation).
A.D. 27 was a significant year. Jesus was baptized this year and began His public ministry.
The Jews of Christ's day were certainly familiar with Daniel's prophecy. And regardless of which decree one might choose as the starting point of the 483 years, the time for the Messiah to appear had elapsed during Jesus' day. Messianic fervor was rampant with the realization that the fulfillment of this prophecy was near at hand (compare John 1:41; 4:25).
If the Messiah was to come, He would have to arrive on the scene just when Jesus did—in the exact year!

You have a pretty good idea of what its all about it, and I don't see why not, although good information is never to much sometimes, and the old testament isn't the inerrant word of God to be a Christians but instead its for Christians to know, the History of that time and why, the need for Jesus to inhabit the earth trying to relate to others the message from God. The Old testament, its for Christian some of the reasons why of Christianity. Good works to be practice are mainly to stay out way from bad works, simply because, the ruler of the material world is Satan and Not God, nor Jesus, God and Jesus and many others unknown to you, aren't beings from this world all though HIM(God), create a/o invented Humanity, they are heavenly and Superiorr existences, which are only trying to help The material world, Humanity and the Human being, to become and stay Intelligent, and become like they are, superio intelligent beings, by the way the Gift of Intelligence is God best gift to man, learn How to use it, care for it and keep it. The bible have help and will help, Man and Humans to become better man's, and Humans. Some times if you try to make things to easy, they can become more difficult as well that more complicate?

Bro, you must not have ever read the Psalms.
The word "Son" is a anthropomorphism to try to explain to us the relationship between Them.
The Hebrew word Meshiach and the Greek word Christos have the exact same meaning. Granted, the Hebrew word was also used as a description for a king of Israel (which Jesus was) and also to describe a priest (of which Jesus is today...see the NT book of Hebrews). Why would the early Christians not know the difference? Most were Jews, fluent in Hebrew as well as the vernacular of Aramaic, and many knew Greek as well since it was the language of commerce.
Bro, it's not a matter of admitting we are wrong, because we have been about many things, i.e., the Crusades, the Inquisition, the witch trials, the Civil Rights movement. It is a matter of whether you can admit that some of this stuff is just over your head.
Peace.

I guess the answer would be found in the life and work of the one God preformed miracles through including raising Jesus from the dead. The alternative would be to believe that the Temple was not needed to for the forgiveness of sins individually and as a nation as the Torah says.
Apparently, you would have the same problem with the authenticity of the Talmud but failed to include it. At no point in time would a Jew conclude that because the Temple was completely destroyed, the men were killed, the women raped, that this was a good time to change what the Torah instructed. Yet this was the time begin a Jew was changed from being determined the father to the mother.
So I guess you will ask the Jews the same question?

What on earth does the sacrifice of Isaac have to do with Jesus??? That was God's way of telling the Israelites that human sacrifice was NEVER acceptable to God. It was a common practice among other cultures - but not allowed for God's people. That is what Judaism is all about -- NOT blindly doing what the majority culture does. The Bible teaches values, ethics, morals.

By the same token, there is no suggestion that when God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that He would institute the Mosaic Law, therefore, the Jews shouldn't have accepted the Mosaic Law either. Nothing prevents God from making further revelations.
"Can't you people admit you were wrong?"
Sure I can, at least when I'm wrong. This just so happens not to be one of them. Sorry if this disappoints you.

Padre, you are right on target, NO one that Jesus walked with understood what was to transpire. NO one, not John the Baptist, not Peter, not even his mom. The first 3 books of the Bible are testimony to that very fact, from 3 different points of view, or themes. Matthew looked for the Son of David, Mark; the Servant of God, Luke; the Son of Man, and even John who looked for the Son of God only had a hint of the Resurrection, and the second advent of God's Son. The book of Acts presents martyrs, who gave their lives for the Son of God, but I doubt if Christ wanted them or you to follow their example. Just read, learn, and wonder at their devotion.
"Those who have ears, to hear..." is a pharse used several times in the book of Revelation, head the meaning....

What about experience? Have you looked into all the experiences people have had with this Son of God? Or is testimony completely unattrative to you?
If 1000 people told you the brige was out...would you drive on? Or take precaution?

Try reading about Abraham sacrificing Isaac. Then get back to us. Uh, I believe that's in the first book called Genesis.
